"SEATTLE IS IN A STATE OF TERROR. POLICE ARE baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances. Theories range from a viscous new gang to a wildly active serial killer" just then Carlisle turned off the tv as Caleb and Bella walked in.

They all still had no idea this was an army for Bella, but they knew that if the killings get worse the Volturi would be here, and could easily pay a visit to Bella in the process. So they need the issue gone.

"It's getting worse" Carlisle said to Caleb as Athena wrapped her arms around Edward who laid on the couch next to her, his hands moving up to thread through her hair as she laid on his chest.

She knew when she was going to have to do it. Less than a week after her graduation was best as she was too busy as of right now to go leave for even a few hours without being noticed.

"We're going to have to do something" it didn't matter what day they chose to go, because it wouldn't be soon enough, so Athena didn't mind their preparation for a fight they wouldn't be involved in.

"It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting" Jasper spoke, being the one with the most experience in that sort of thing.
"Quite a few more. And they're undisciplined, conspicuous" Edward dived into Jasper's mind, understanding where he was going.

"It's newborns"

"What, like new vampires?" Bella wondered.

"in the first few months after the change" Caleb explained

Jasper: "That's when we're at our most uncontrollable. Vicious. Insane with thirst"

"Something to look forward to" Athena scoffed at Emmett's smirk and lightly slapped his arm, earning a shrug in return.

"No ones trained these newborns, but this isn't random"

"Someone's creating an army" Carlisle put together. Athena felt slightly bad that they were only now figuring out what she already knew and thinking of a plan they won't get to execute, but it was for the better. She told herself, she just felt bad for lying.
