The days had grown warmer as summer approached, and with it, Y/N's pregnancy had reached its final stretch. At nine months, she was easily exhausted, her energy waning quickly with even the simplest tasks. Jungkook had become more possessive and protective, ensuring she was resting, eating properly, and avoiding any unnecessary strain.

One evening, after a particularly long day, Y/N was resting on the couch, her feet propped up on a cushion. Jungkook was bustling around the kitchen, preparing a light dinner. He glanced over at her every few moments, a worried crease between his brows.

"Do you need anything, love?" he called out, his voice tinged with concern. "Another pillow? Some water?"

Y/N smiled tiredly, appreciating his attentiveness. "I'm fine, Kookie. Just a bit tired."

He nodded, but the worry didn't leave his eyes. "Dinner's almost ready. Then you can get some more rest."

Jungkook's protectiveness had grown as Y/N's due date approached. He was meticulous about her care, making sure she was comfortable and well-nourished. His anxiety about the impending birth and his new role as a father was palpable, though he did his best to hide it from her. He didn't want her to worry more than she already did.

Later that night, after Y/N had fallen asleep, Jungkook found himself restless. He quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb her, and went into the living room. He pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts until he found Yoongi's number. Taking a deep breath, he hit call.

"Hey, Jungkook," Yoongi answered after a few rings, his voice warm and calm. "What's up?"

"Hyung, I hope I didn't wake you," Jungkook said, his voice a mix of relief and apprehension.

"No, I was just wrapping up some work. What's on your mind?"

Jungkook sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's Y/N... and the baby. She's so close to her due date, and I'm just... I'm really anxious. About everything."

Yoongi's voice softened with understanding. "I get it, Jungkook. It's completely normal to feel that way. Becoming a father is a big change, and it's natural to have fears and worries."

Jungkook nodded, even though Yoongi couldn't see him. "I just want to be a good father. And I want Y/N to be okay. I keep thinking about all the things that could go wrong, and it's hard to stay calm."

"You're already a great husband, Jungkook," Yoongi said reassuringly. "And you'll be a great father too. It's normal to feel scared. I felt the same way before my girls were born. But you have to trust that you and Y/N will get through this together. You have each other's support, and that's the most important thing."

Jungkook felt a wave of gratitude for his hyung's words. "Thanks, Yoongi hyung. That means a lot. How did you handle it? The anxiety, I mean."

Yoongi chuckled softly. "I talked to people I trusted, like you're doing now. I asked for advice, and I took things one day at a time. And I made sure to be there for my wife, just like you're doing for Y/N. It's a learning process, and you'll figure it out as you go. Don't be too hard on yourself."

"Thanks, hyung," Jungkook said, his voice thick with emotion. "I really appreciate it. You've been a big help."

"Anytime, Jungkook. We're all here for you. And remember, it's okay to ask for help when you need it. You don't have to do everything alone."

As they ended the call, Jungkook felt a sense of relief. Talking to Yoongi had eased some of his worries, and he felt more prepared to face the challenges ahead. He returned to the bedroom, slipping back into bed beside Y/N. She stirred slightly, her hand reaching out to find his.

"Everything okay?" she murmured sleepily.

"Yeah," Jungkook whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Everything's okay. Go back to sleep, love."

Y/N smiled softly and nestled closer to him, her breathing evening out as she drifted back to sleep. Jungkook lay there, listening to the quiet rhythm of her breathing, feeling a renewed sense of determination and calm. He knew that the days ahead would be challenging, but he also knew that he had the support and love of his family and friends. With that, he felt ready to face whatever came their way.

The next morning, Jungkook woke up early as usual, slipping out of bed quietly to avoid waking Y/N. He went through his morning routine, preparing a nutritious breakfast for Y/N and himself. As he worked in the kitchen, he felt a sense of purpose and resolve. He would take things one day at a time, just as Yoongi had advised.

When Y/N woke up, she found Jungkook in the kitchen, humming softly as he cooked. She smiled, feeling a wave of love for him. "Good morning, Kookie," she greeted, her voice still tinged with sleep.

"Good morning, beautiful," Jungkook replied, turning to face her with a warm smile. "How did you sleep?"

"Pretty well," she said, sitting down at the table. "Thanks for making breakfast."

"Anything for you," Jungkook said, bringing over a plate of scrambled eggs and toast. "You need to keep your strength up."

As they ate breakfast together, Jungkook felt a sense of peace. The future was uncertain, and there would undoubtedly be challenges, but he knew that with love, support, and determination, they would get through it together. And that was enough.
