Kuni kept walking with (Y/N) following close behind her and you got to Ritou you both entered the city petels falling from every tree.

It was beautiful..

(Y/N) had never stopped to look at the city and and petal fell onto her (H/C) hair.

Kuni eventually got it out for her and almost saw a little light in her eyes before she thanked him quickly and carried on walking stopping at a shop near the port.

And after a little while of walking around

"I think we've got everything, let's head back now."

(Y/N) held a basket of fruits and vegetables, some nuts and tofu as well while Kuni held some fish and a few fowl imported from the neighboring countries of Inazuma.

You both kept walking till you got back to the village from before.

It was more lively since it was more midday and the shopping you did took ages.

And you heard screaming.

Taking a step towards the scream you also heard crying and squeals

Some old man arguing with a child trying to throw them on the ground..

The cries echoed (Y/N)'s ears even though they were so far

(Y/N) paused staring at them for some quiet moments.

Kuni couldn't really tell what she was thinking because she had a blank expression on her face he couldn't describe it himself.

But she went over to Kuni giving him the food to hold and he almost toppled

"Hold on I'll be right back"

"Hey! What are yo-"

And she went over to the old man slapping his hand away

(Y/N) POV:

"What the hell?!"

He gritted his teeth and spat out at you

"What do you think you're doing brat?"

I didn't say a word just looking at him before turning and looking at the child on the ground you bent down and asked if she was ok.

"DON'T IGNORE ME!"

He was really annoying

But you sighed and finally spoke to him

You looked at him with a dull expression only glancing at him

"What are you doing with this child sir?"

"This brat is my granddaughter NOW ANSWER MY QUESTION"

Loud as well.

He can't get any worse than this.

Right?

"If you answer mine I'll answer yours."

"I ASKED FIRS-"

And before he could finish a red mark appeared on his cheek.

"No you didn't. I asked first"

And he was seething.

"YOU BITC-"

He tried to lunge at you but he was an old man and stumbled when you moved out the way.

You bent down again to the child and saw her eyes swell.

Before she came and stood next to you she started talking in a low whisper, while she hiccups and tried wiping her tears

"P..please st-st-stop.. y-youre gonna mm. Make things worse..."

"You heard the kid now leave!"

You didn't listen to his 'warning' and you stood back up looking down at the man as he tried to get up again but you kicked him.

And you looked at the small girl

"Is your grandfather doing things to you"

The poor child was covered In bruises and mud, scratches on her arms and legs.

She nodded looking down at the floor and the old bastard starting yelling at her again.

"YOU UNGRATEFUL LITTLE SHIT I'M THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT ME? I SHOULD'VE JUST SOLD YOU WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE"

Now that.

That was something.

And he screamed in agony holding onto the arm the was cut off slowly decomposing away as it lay on the ground.

He was annoying.

And it gave you all the more reason to cut his arm off.

Not like he was worthy of limbs anyway

"You really are a pathetic excuse of a man, get up and leave I'll be taking the kid with me"

"IF UR GONNA TAKE HER PAY FOR HER THEN"

"The only payment that I'll give you are the still attached limbs"

You reached out to take the kids hand and she reached back for you taking it before you both walked away to Kuni who looked stunned but almost amused.

"Are taking her with us? "

You nodded

"Let's go home"
