After getting to Kie-ayla's house Thalia ran from the car and into the guest bedroom throwing herself into the bed crying, when she felt Kie's hand around her waist pulling her up into a hug. "it's okay mama, please stop crying", Kie whispered trying to calm her.
But she just began crying even more until Kie pulled her up until they're eyes met and without wasting any time Kie kissed her again, "see now nobody's embarrassed, so please stop crying" and then she hugged her trying to hide her own tears.
In the morning....
Thalia woke up to the smell of fried egg and the sound of a blender, she got up slowly and dragged herself to the bathroom and took a good long bath.
When she eventually got out she saw Kie standing infront of the TV searching for something and there was a tray of food on the bed. "Thank you" Thalia mumbled out.
Kie-ayla spun around "you're welcome, I was just about to leave tho just looking for something for you to watch since I figured you'd probably need some alone time" Kie said walking towards the door. "so what are you going to eat?" Thalia asked "it's downstairs, why?" Kie asked back.
"I just wanted you to join me that's all, after all we are still best friends right?" after Thalia said that Kie-ayla's heart ached for some reason but didn't know why. "No thanks, I have some stuff to do" Kie said before shutting the door behind her and running to her room while tears sting her eyes and the words kept repeating in her head like a broken record "a friend, that's all she think of me JUST A FRIEND" Kie-ayla didn't really know why she took offense to that one phrase but it hurt her pretty bad.
Thalia slumped on her bed picking at the food Kie had made, it was a scrambled egg burito with a dragon blend which Kie-ayla came up by herself which consisted of a dragon fruit, 2 bananas and 1 cup of milk. It was Thalia's favorite but today it wasn't because she just wanted to spend a day with her best friend like old times and laugh at cartoons and do childish things but not today it seemed like.
