ALISSA'S POV

I went inside my room through my window again.  I went to my bathroom and took a shower, removing the blood that was on me. After that, I went into my closet and changed into my pajamas.

I was about to go to bed, but then I remembered something or rather someone.

I went out of my room and headed to Ari's room. I wonder if he was back or not.

I slowly opened his bedroom door and got inside. The room was cloaked in darkness, yet my eyes adjusted quickly.  Quietly, I moved closer and saw my brother lying in bed, his chest rising and falling in uneven breaths. His face was flushed, a stark contrast to the usual healthy tan of his skin. Beads of sweat glistened on his forehead, and his damp hair clung to his skin.

Silently, I approached his bedside, my worry deepening with each step. I reached out to touch his forehead, feeling the burning heat against my cool hand. He stirred slightly but did not wake.

"Ali," I whispered softly, but there was no response. I guess he has a fever. But.. what do you normally do when someone has a fever?

"Let me search," I said to myself and opened my phone to search on google.

"A damp cloth," I said, putting my phone down beside Ari's sleeping figure. That should help bring the fever down.

I hurried to his bathroom, dampened a washcloth with cool water, and returned to his bedside. I laid the cloth across his forehead, hoping it would provide some relief.

I could not leave while his gut was down, so I climbed on his bed my back against the headboard. I took his head and put it on my lap. I readjusted the cloth on his forehead before running my fingers through his hair. I watched over him, my mind racing with thoughts of what could have caused his sudden illness. He just went for a race. Was it cold at the underground?

As the night wore on, I stayed vigilant, my worry keeping me wide awake. Each time Ari stirred or moaned softly in his sleep, I was there, soothing him with gentle whispers and tender care. The hours passed slowly, but I never left his side, I didn't even notice when I fell asleep.

******

I woke up at my usual time, 4am. Ari was still sleeping, I put my hand on his forehead to check if he was still having a fever. Fortunately, he was not. I removed the cloth, kissed his forehead, and stood up from the bed before going to my room. I went to my closet and changed into my gym clothes, took my airpods, and set off to the gym room.

At this time, the gym room is always empty, but today, the moment I went inside, I saw Mike, Bianca's second older brother. He was lifting weights. The moment he heard my footsteps, he turned to look at me.

"Oh, good morning, Alissa." he gave me a small smile and continued with the weights.

"Morning," I said. I didn't want to do things that would make him suspicious of my strength, so I picked up the yoga mat and began doing simple things.

"Do you always wake up this early?" He asked. And I nodded, not caring if he could see me or not.

"So, when is your older brother coming back?" He asked. I know exactly what they are trying to do, but I won't let them do it. They failed many times trying to kill Aiden in Spain because of the guards and spies Uncle Dom sent. They want him back here so they can easily kill him themselves without sending spies. They are stupid to think they would succeed with killing him whilst he was here.

"I don't know," I said with my eyes closed as I sat cross-legged  on the yoga mat.

"Do you know anything about their companies and mafia?" He asked.

"No," I said.

*****

I was already ready with my uniform on, so I went downstairs for breakfast.

"Hurry up, I made a pancake for you," Ryder said.

"Brother, I thought this was my pancake?" Camille whined at Ryder.

"When did you make it?" Ryder asked her. He looked as if he was annoyed.

"No, I, I thought that you made it for me," she said.

"Well, I didn't, I kinda forgot, plus I'm not a maid, remember?."

"But you made one for her,"

"I know." He said. When he turned to look at me, he smiled.

"Come come come, sit, I made a pancake for you." he came towards me and pushed me to sit in a chair stool near the kitchen counter.

Camille glared at me before she went out of the kitchen.

He pushed the plate with a pancake on it to me. I sighed and took a fork before eating the pancake.

After eating, I put the fork down, and I took a sip of my juice.

"How was it?" He looked at me expectanly.

"It was fine," I said.

"Just fine?" His smile dropped. "How could you just day it was just fine, why not say 'Thank you Ryder, it was delicious' don't you have feelings little sister," he continued.

"Who are you calling your little sister? Are you trying to steal my sister Ryder?" Ari, who was walking towards us, said.

"There is a thing called sharing,"

"That word doesn't exist in my dictionary, especially when it comes to my sister," Ari said.

"Good morning," he said and kissed my forehead.  I gave him a nod.

"Plus, you have 2 sisters," Ari said to Ryder as he made coffee for himself.

"I don't like them," he mumbled , I heard him, and I knew Aries heard him too, but he chose to ignore it.

"Come on guys, you have to go, or you will be late for school," Hayley, uncle Matteo's wife said.

"Okay, let's go, guys." Ryder said.

I looked at Aries, and he had already finished his coffee.  We went out of the kitchen to the parking lot.

I'm not taking my bike today, so I'm going with Aries in his car.

We arrived at the garage, got inside the car, and drove off to school.

Can't wait to see the Korean princess.
