At the end of the day, Fumiko went to Choso's house again. She stepped in, as Eso allowed her, and looked inside her boyfriend's room. Seing her man wasn't there, she walked around the whole house. He still was nowhere to be found.

"Are you wondering where my big brother is ?" Eso asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Well... Yes, of course... Did he leave ?"

The man nodded.

"He went to the gym..." he explained. "That's where people are talking about the sports contest. They're training, so... Since he wanted some information, he went to talk to them."

She sighed a bit.

"He could have warned me..." she said. "Well, I'll go and meet him there, then."

She stretched a bit and silently walked to the gym. As she entered the place, she heard people talking. This was probably about the contest. She looked around and spotted Choso near a group of men. He was sweating, wearing a loose shirt and shorts. It seemed like he had trained a lot.

She stepped towards him, trying to catch his attention.

"Well... Is it okay, now ?" he asked the group of men. "Can I try take part in this contest already ?"

The others looked at him for a while.

"You're surprisingly good..." one of them admitted. "I can't even understand why you rejected Yuki, though... You could have had the woman we all wanted."

Choso sighed.

"Well, I'm not here to talk about love, I'm here for sports, remember ?" he answered in an annoyed tone as he saw his girlfriend coming. "Love, I didn't expect to see you here... I'm sorry, it took me longer than expected... These guys don't want me in the contest. They won't even tell where to join it."

"Well... We don't really want to see a jerk like you here..." another man explained.

"I did all you asked me, I've trained here for a while now, I even made my girlfriend wait.... I'm not here to compete now, I just want some information."

They stopped talking as they heard loud footsteps. The man clearly wanted to be noticed. He had long black hair and a scar across his forehead. He wore tight gym clothes and looked at the group with a fake smile.

"Well, what's happening here ?" he questionned. "I heard you didn't want to give somebody the informations they needed..."

He looked at Choso for a second. His eyes widened. Fumiko's girlfriend turned paler as he recognised the man.

"Choso, really ?" he asked in an enthusiastic tone. "What a surprise...."

They stared at each other for a while, without saying anything.

"Love, who is it ?" Fumiko asked.

The unknown man chuckled.

"I'm a training coach here", he explained. "I took care of organising the sports contest with Jujutsu university. My name's Kenjaku... Kenjaku Kamo."

(Author's note : yes, I know he just used the name "Noritoshi Kamo" in the original story, but he needed to have the same name as Choso for this fic.)

"That's my progenitor", Choso muttered.

The other chuckled a bit.

"Seriously ? You can't even call me dad ? I didn't even know you had a girlfriend, didn't you tell her about me ?"

"Well, I wasn't aware you worked there... Or I wouldn't have stepped there at all."

Fumiko didn't really understand the situation, but she noticed her boyfriend was uncomfortable.

Kenjaku leaned towards her and looked at her eyes.

"You seem like a good person..." he said in an enthusiastic tone. "I would be happy to know about you a bit more... It could help our family, I lost contact with Choso..."

"You didn't even care when mom died, you just left for someone else !" his son angrily answered. "Now, if you could just give me the information I need..."

The man sighed. He couldn't even talk to his son. He took a paper out of his pocket and gave him.

"You're lucky, I always walk around with these", he explained. "Just fill in the form with your name, your age, your class, and read the informations behind to know about the different steps.... Then you can just come and give it back to me so I can register your inscription. Right, son ? And, don't just live in the past. I changed."

He nodded with an annoyed face. He just wanted to leave.

He took his girlfriend's hand and walked away.

"Thanks, I guess..." he uttered.

Kenjaku chuckled.

"Son, may I know your girlfriend's name ?"

Choso thought for a while. He would just learn it anyway.

"Fumiko..." he answered. "And she's the best woman I could get, before those jerks say anything."

Kenjaku gave her a smile.

"Well, then.... It was a pleasure meeting you, Fumiko !" he exclaimed as he waved them goodbye. "And, please keep in mind that if you want to see me again with my son, you can come here whenever you want !"

Choso sighed as he walked faster, trying to be far away the sooner he can.
