Fighting for his heart [Choso X OC]

~44 : Fire~

Choso walked to his father, as he already got dressed up. He only went to the changing room to leave his bag where he kept clean clothes to wear after the contest. He knew he would sweat a lot.

He looked around, but couldn't see his girlfriend anywhere. His brothers came in, but she wasn't with them. He sighed.

"Where's Fumiko ?" he asked as his father acted as if he just noticed him.

"Didn't she tell you ?" he answered in a fake disappointed voice. "She left... She had other things to do, which probably seemed more interesting than spending the rest of the evening here..."

Choso widened his eyes, as he seemed a bit sad. He wasn't as motivated if his girlfriend wasn't there. 

Everybody was starting to arrive here, so he had to prepare for the exercises. The second step of the contest soon began, as the participants did the exercises once at a time, trying to be the more convincing they could.

Choso was shocked when he heard his father tell him he was doing good. He stared at Yuki, who turned away as if nothing happened.

"You improved, congratulations ! she declared as she obviously lied. See, you were right when you decided to listen to my advice...."

The man sighed as he rolled his eyes. He finally understood she had been playing him. He felt so stupid for believing her. If Fumiko hadn't been here, he would have lost all hope in himself. Where was she ?...

As they go a break, Choso went to see Yuki. He needed more informations. He didn't believe his girlfriend would leave like that at such an important time for him.

"Where's Fumiko ?" he asked in a cold tone.

The blonde shivered, as if this sentence scared her. She started sweating a bit as she tried to make her way out of this situation.

"She's... She's gone..." she stuttered. "I don't know where she went..."

"She came with me", he answered in an even colder voice. "She knew I wanted her to see me. She wouldn't have abandoned me. What did your father and you do to make her leave ?"

Yuki gave him a startled look. Did he understand what happened ? She seemed confused, not knowing what she could answer.

She started smelling something weird. She raised an eyebrow as she looked at the corridor leading to the storeroom. Smoke escaped from it.

She widened her eyes as she stepped back.

"Kenjaku !!!" she yelled. "There's a fire !!!"

Everyone started to panick, as they ran towards the exit, trying to get away as fast as possible. As Yuki was about to follow them, she felt a strong grip on her arm. Choso was staring at her, his face full of rage.
