8: Mending Wounds

Days passed as the Lamenters repair and prepare to meet with their Gene Sire

They were able to muster up 1 Tactical Squad and a Thunderhawk as their Strike Team

One Fateful Day Later

Cardin felt aggravated at what happened and resorted to do a sneak attack on the Faunus that cause him nothing but pain and humiliation

He planned to hit Jaune with the Jar of Sap that was supposed to be launched at Pyrrha in the Former Timeline

As Cardin planned Jaune was with the Girls gathering Sap He was at the Center trying to look out and sense any enemies that might be lurking about

Then Cardin finally let it loose

But as soon as it got in Range Jaune's flexed wings let loose one White Feather and zooms through the air piercing the jar into pieces

Everyone turned to the sound and saw Jaune looking at the Cliff

Meanwhile at the cliffside

Cardin: what!?

Russel: how did he know!?

Dove: uhhh guys he's looking right at us.

Sky: No way he can't see that far.

Russel: dude did you forget he might be a Hawk Faunus they have Sharp Eyes!

Sky: ohh fuck.

Cardin: Shut Up! We can think of something to....

Russel: uh boss look he's coming towards us.

He points to Jaune who took to the skies and is approaching them

He hovers above them looking down not in indignation but with sympathy, they were not bad people in the former timeline they were just idiots who didn't know what they were doing

Cardin: I'm not scared of you.

Jaune: No, you shouldn't be....I mean you No Harm.

Cardin: this has got be some sort of trick.

Jaune: I know Cardin, I know I have been there myself.

Cardin: what are you talking about?

Jaune: I know what you went through but doing this won't help anyone. Not even those we lost.

Cardin stopped in his tracks what does he know, how did he know?

Jaune: I have lost so many people to them too and it's hard move on knowing those monsters are still at large.

Cardin: how could you even....you're a Faunus you should be on their side.

Jaune: Cardin I am Part Human. Do you know what their Stance is about half breeds.

Cardin's blood grew cold

Jaune: I was condemned by BOTH sides. ( Half Lie - he was frowned upon to be a part of a human family and he was shunned for his attributes by the rare few who saw him )

I am on No Ones Side for No One is on My Side.

And I understand you're Hatred of them but don't blame an Entire Race. There are innocent faunus out there who are just minding their own business.

Cardin: but they....they killed my....

Jaune: they killed People I loved too Cardin but I will not blame the Race but only those who are responsible.

Cardin looked at him and he had an understanding Look he just drops his guard and let's go of the Jar of Sap as it breaks beneath his feet

Jaune puts his hand on his shoulder and Cardin looks to him and he nods
