**Chapter 14: Kuch To Hua Hai**
Months had passed since Ayesha and Raj's heartfelt conversation about Vikram. Raj was flourishing in New York, his short film "Sapne" gaining recognition and appreciation from his peers and professors. Ayesha, on the other hand, was balancing her demanding job and maintaining her relationship with Raj. Despite the distance, their love grew stronger, nurtured by late-night calls and heartfelt messages.
---
One Saturday evening, Ayesha was at a café with her best friend, Priya. The café was buzzing with activity, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air.
"Priya, kabhi kabhi mujhe lagta hai ki sab kuch ek sapna hai. Raj aur main itne door hain, par phir bhi hum itne close hain," Ayesha said, sipping her cappuccino.
Priya smiled knowingly. "Ayesha, tum dono ka pyaar saccha hai. Distance sirf ek number hai. Tumhara dil toh Raj ke saath hi hai."
Ayesha nodded. "Haan, lekin kabhi kabhi mushkil hota hai. Mujhe uski bohot yaad aati hai."
Priya reached out and squeezed Ayesha's hand. "Sab theek ho jayega. Tum dono ke beech jo bond hai, woh kabhi nahi tootega."
Just as Ayesha was about to respond, her phone buzzed with a message from Raj. She opened it to find a picture of Raj holding a certificate, grinning from ear to ear.
**Raj: "Guess what? Meri short film ko award mila! Tumhare bina yeh possible nahi hota. Tumhe bohot miss kar raha hoon."**
Ayesha's eyes filled with tears of joy. She quickly typed back.
**Ayesha: "Raj, I'm so proud of you! Tumhari hard work aur dedication ka result hai yeh. Mujhe bhi tumhari bohot yaad aati hai."**
Priya noticed the tears in Ayesha's eyes and asked, "Kya hua? Koi achhi khabar?"
Ayesha nodded, showing her the picture. "Raj ki film ko award mila hai. Main uske liye itni khush hoon."
Priya beamed. "Wow, that's amazing! Tum dono ka sapna sach ho raha hai."
---
That night, Raj called Ayesha. His voice was filled with excitement and pride. "Ayesha, tumhare bina yeh sab possible nahi hota. Tum meri inspiration ho."
Ayesha felt a warmth spread through her. "Raj, tumne itni mehnat ki hai. Tumhara talent aur passion sabko dikh raha hai."
Raj sighed contentedly. "Tumhare bina meri life incomplete hai. Tumhari yaad mujhe hamesha drive karti hai."
Ayesha's heart swelled with love. "Raj, main bhi tumhe bohot miss karti hoon. Tum jaldi wapas aao."
Raj chuckled. "Soon, Ayesha. Bahut jaldi."
---
A few weeks later, Ayesha received a surprise invitation to a gala event hosted by the fashion magazine she worked for. It was a grand celebration, and all the who's who of the industry were expected to attend. Ayesha decided to go, hoping it would be a good distraction from missing Raj.
On the night of the event, Ayesha wore a stunning red gown that accentuated her features. As she walked into the venue, the grandeur of the decorations and the buzz of the crowd filled her with excitement. She mingled with colleagues and industry professionals, enjoying the glamorous atmosphere.
Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Vikram, dressed in a sharp black tuxedo.
"Ayesha, tum yahan itni khoobsurat lag rahi ho," Vikram said, admiration clear in his eyes.
