Chapter 21: Meetings & Episodes

I've been thinking a lot about life after graduation. The main goal was always to get as far as possible from this town and my mother but that has changed since I've met the guys. I've never been the type to really like school so I'm not sure if I want to continue my education at a higher level. I feel like I wouldn't really have the time.  Between Luna responsibilities and being the girlfriend of an Ad exec and a doctor doesn't really make time for school. Plus, it's not like I have to pursue a higher education. Most people go to college to get a good paying job to get a nice house to support themselves and their families, but I don't necessarily need to do that. All my boyfriends are rich, and I know that they'd prefer if I didn't work anyway so they can spoil me. I'm sure at some point I'll get bored of doing nothing so I'm sure I'll get a job eventually. I still have time to decide it's just since I'm on winter break, I've been thinking about it.

"Hello! Earth to Jordan!" Issy says snapping me from my thoughts. "What did you want us to do."

I can't help my smile, "okay you know how I've been practicing my powers for the past week right?" She nods. "So, I was thinking, well hoping, they could work in another way."

She looks at me suspiciously, "oh hell, what are we doing Jay?"

"I want to see if I can possess the dead as well."

She opens and closes her mouth like a fish, "what?"

I nod, "I can help a lot of people that way. I just want to try, no harm no foul." Benny has been working with me the past week on practicing my powers after school. I think I've gotten it pretty well but then I started to think that maybe since I can see and talk to dead people that I could possibly possess them as well. It was worth a shot anyway.

"Or you could traumatize a lot of people Jor."

I look away from her sadly. I had thought about that as well and I figured I could give people the option to get the closure they seek if they wanted it. I know most people would give up they life just to see someone they lost again. I want to help with that if this goes right. It at least gives people the option, something they wouldn't have any other way.

She sighs, "fine let's do it."

I look at her, "are you sure? I know it'll be hard to see her again if this works."

She nods, "now I get to see what you see, we talk to her all the time anyway."

I look at Rose before taking a deep breath and closing my eyes. I focus on her body waiting for something to happen. I open my eyes to see Issy looking at me worried. I close my eyes again and try once more to really focus on where I want to go. Suddenly I'm looking down at myself and I can't help my giggle.

"Holy shit!" Rose exclaims looking at me.

"You can see me like this?" I gasp shocked. Didn't know that was possible. She nods. "Okay, just relax and think about letting me in."

She nods closing her eyes and once I get the sense that I'm accepted I enter her mind and body. With the living it's a lot easier to get in without acceptance because we're constantly thinking and doing things but the dead I have to be accepted. Okay, let's see if this works.

"Hi" Rose says causing Issy to jump moving across the room.

"Holy fucking shit!" she screams causing us to laugh. "Rose?"

"Guilty."

"It fucking worked! It really fucking worked Jor!" She sits back next to us. "I can hear her clearly, but I can't see her."
