Her Pov:
A familiar twinge in my stomach, a tightening that felt like a knot, brought my conversation with Tia to a sudden halt. "What's wrong?" Tia asked, her brow furrowed with concern.
I could feel my face flushing. "It's...it's that time of the month," I mumbled, hoping the words were lost in the murmur of the classroom.
"Oh, Y/N, seriously?" Tia's voice was a mix of exasperation and disbelief. "You told me you were expecting it this week, why didn't you bring your stuff?"
"I know, I know," I said, my voice thin with embarrassment. "I just completely forgot. It's been crazy with all the assignments and exams."
"But Y/N, this isn't the first time!" Tia's voice, though laced with concern, held a sharp edge. "Remember last month, you were stuck in the library with nothing? What if you're alone and have no one to help?"
My cheeks burned even hotter. I knew she was right. This wasn't just about forgetting a few pads or tampons; it was about the constant anxiety of being unprepared for my own body.
"I know, I'm working on it," I muttered, hoping the professor wouldn't notice my sudden discomfort. I glanced at the clock, praying for the class to end.
"Listen, you need to be more responsible,' Ria said, her voice softer now. 'It's not just about the inconvenience, it's about your health. You can't keep relying on me for everything."
The professor walked in, his presence silencing the classroom. For the next hour, I struggled to focus on the lecture, my mind preoccupied with the discomfort growing in my stomach.
As we walked home after class, Tia continued the conversation. "You know, I just downloaded this amazing period tracking app," she said, her voice bright. "It's really accurate and helps me plan everything. No more surprises!"
"Really?" I said, intrigued. "What's it called?"
"It's called CyclePro," Tia replied. "You should try it, it's a lifesaver."
I pulled out my phone. "I'll search for it in the Play Store."
A wave of disappointment washed over me as I saw the app listing. "It's a paid app, Tia," I said, my voice low. "I can't afford that."
Tia chuckled. "That's why I use the MOD version. It's completely free and works just as well."
"MOD version?" I looked at her, confused.
"It's a modified version," she explained. "It removes the paid features and makes it accessible for everyone. I'll send you the link when we get home."
"But my phone is so old," I said, my voice tinged with doubt. "Will it even support the app?"
Tia smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, it'll work perfectly. It's a light app. Just download it and you'll be good to go."
Back home, I spent the next few hours lost in the vortex of Instagram, my phone buzzing with the constant stream of notifications. Finally, a message from Tia popped up. "https://download app/Beats/apps/details?id.android" it reads.
I clicked the link, and downloading starts.
