Her Pov:
The download bar crawled across the screen, each percentage point a tiny victory. Finally, the app icon appeared, vibrant and promising. I tapped it open, my heart buzzing with anticipation. But the screen that greeted me wasn't at all what I expected. The sleek, minimalist interface of the app flashed on my phone screen. A cartoon heart, with a notepad, bounced across the screen. "Beats." The app’s name was emblazoned in Itali, Balck font on the notepad. I stared, confused. This wasn’t the period tracking app I’d downloaded. Where was the calendar, the ovulation tracker, the mood diary?
I clicked on random buttons, trying to find an "About" section, an explanation, anything that would tell me what the hell I was looking at. But there was only a single screen, dominated by a flashing button that said, "Select The Number Of Beats." And I pressed on a random number.
My phone buzzed with a message from Tia. It read: "OMG Y/N! So sorry! I sent you the wrong link. Riri was in a hurry and she gave me the wrong app link from her phone. I just forwarded it to you. You know, the one I was talking about"
Scrolling through Tia’s messages, I discovered that, she had been at her friend Riri's house and needed the link to the period tracking app, but Riri had accidentally sent her the link to 'Beats' instead. And she forwarded that to me.
I couldn't help but laugh at the situation. It was a classic case of miscommunication and was about to delete the app, but a curious pang of what felt like excitement poked at me as I recieved a notification from that app. I was single, after all. And my curiosity was picqued so I opened that app again.
