As Charles found lying awake early in the morning the next day many thoughts about her were running through his mind. He couldn't believe she was in the processing of opening up ten different schools in ten different countries. He found out after they got back onto the boat last night that if she was not a Formula 1 driver she would have become a teacher. He knew she adored kids and she loved teaching people things. But to become a teacher? That was amazing.

Thinking more about what she told him yesterday he learned that she doubted ever making it into Formula 1. He learned that she was terrified of going into Redbull as a twenty-year-old young woman who has to live up to a legacy her father built. He learned that although she loves racing with Redbull, she dreams of retiring with Ferrari. She said she didn't know why. She had always dreamed of racing and retiring with Redbull, but she recently got this urge to retire in red with Ferrari.

Could it be that she subconsciously wants to retire with him? Could it be that before the accident she had made plans with herself to retire with him in Ferrari?

A message notification pulled him away from his thoughts.

Good morning! This is Emi, I asked Carlos for your number if that's ok?

Charlie 🍨
Good morning Emi, that's perfect!
You ready for today?

Emi 🍎
Yes! What do you have in mind?

Charlie 🍨
Well, a little birdie told me that your perfect day looked like going on a hike, then having an açaí bowl, people watching, then eating a REALLY good cheeseburger, then going to the beach till the sun sets...

Emi 🍎
There is no way!!

Charlie 🍨
Soooo... I was thinking we do just about all that, you up for it??

Emi 🍎
OMG YESS!!!

Charlie 🍨
Great! I will be in your apartment in 20 minutes?

Emi 🍎
Sound good!!

Immediately, Emilie swipes out of the message app and quickly dials Carlos, "Pick up. Pick up. It's not that early Carlitos..."

"Hello?" Carlos' groggy voice rang through the phone.

"CARLITOS! YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT CHARLE'S HAS PLANNED FOR TODAY!!" Her excited voice more than evident.

"Hello? What time is it?" Some ruffling was heard through the phone as Carlos seemed to be barely awake.

"Carlossss! Pay attention, WAKE UP WAKE UP!!" Emilie whined at his grogginess, whipping her head back in frustration.

"How about we start off with a "Good morning,'" Carlos suggested, sounding a bit more woken up.

"Buenos días, Carlitos!" She cheered, quite sarcastically."

"Buenos días, nena," Carlos replied, "Now you ask, 'How are you this lovely morning?'"

"Carlossss, I don't have time for your games. This is serious," Emilie responded, clearly not playing his little game."

"Ya, ya, what does good ole' Charles have planned for today?" He asked, noticing her change of tone.

"AHHH! So first we are going on a hike, then we are getting açaí bowls, then we are going to do some PEOPLE WATCHING! Can you believe that!! And then he's going to take me to get some really good cheeseburgers and then spend the rest of the day at the beach!" She chattered way to quick for an early morning.

"That's sounds great, nena. You have fun and I go back to sleep," Carlos said, knowing that was all she wanted to tap about this early.

"When did you tell him that was my perfect day?" She asked unexpectedly.

"Huh?" He responded, still shuffling himself into bed, ready to snooze off for another four hours or so.

"He said a little birdie told him that my perfect day looked exactly like that."

"Well, I didn't so..." he dismissed.

"Well, you're the only one who knew about my perfect day. There's no way he could simply guess it that well."

"Huh?" Carlos said, quickly sitting back up on his bed."

"You're the only person that I've explained what I perfect day for me sounds like. Not even my dad knows. So I didn't know what birdie told him."

Panic ran so quickly through Carlos veins that he was suddenly more awake than the girl over the phone. "Well, you know..." he said, not able to rack up any good lie in his mind.

"I'll just ask him. Anyways, go back to sleep, you're more asleep than awake. Bye Carlitos, I'll call you when I get back home, love you," she said before sending him a kiss and hanging up, not letting Carlos let out a single word out.
