"Abre los ojos...open your eyes."

A tiny Mirabel opened her eyes, she was with her Abuela and looking at the beautiful candle; the Miracle.

"Is this where the magic comes from?" She asked curiously.

"Mhm," Abuela smiled warmly. "This candle holds the Miracle given to our family."

Mirabel frowned. "How did we get a Miracle?"

Abuela held her close as she began her tale. "Long ago...when my three babies had just been born,"

Bruno, Pepa and Jullieta exchanged looks.

The screen showed a younger Abuela, her lover Pedro, and their triplets. "You're Abuelo Pedro and I were forced to flee our home,"

Abuela had one singular tier run down her face at the sight of her ,one lost loved one.

Alma, Pedro and others were seen walking in the night with all of their things and their children, leaving an attacked village.

Abel's heart sank.

"And though many joined us, hoping to find a new home...we could not escape the dangers."

Pedro noticed the soldiers approaching on their horses, and held up his hands as he attempted to plea with them.

Abuela started to cry but stopped as soon as she was confronted by her youngest grandchild, Antonio.

"And your Abuelo was lost."

Alma collapsed to her knees with her babies in her arms, tears running down her cheeks.

"But, in our darkest moment, we were given...a Miracle." The candle sat in front of Alma, and began to shine brightly with magical powers."The candle became a magical flame that could never go out. And it blessed us with a refuge in which to live."

The candle's magic flew into the air, and began to change the area around.

"A place of wonder..."

"An Encanto." Mirabel chimed in; awed.

Augustine snuggled  Julieta, then they both looked at there youngest kid.

"An Encanto." Abuela agreed. "The Miracle grew..."

Casita was born, leaving Alma in pure shock.

"And our house, our Casita itself, came alive to shelter us." The window opened and waved at Alma.

She smiled shyly and waved back.

"When my children came of age," Time skipped to when Julieta, Pepa and Bruno were young kids. "The Miracle blessed each with a magic gift to help us."

The children were given doors, and when they touched the knobs, the doors lit up with life and each were given special powers.

"And when their children came of age," Outlines of the younger generations were shown.

"They got magic too." Mirabel finished for her.
