The next day was spent calling and searching for Mirabel. Even the children in town were becoming worried that Mirabel was still gone.

A pink thread was stuck on a spikey bush. A shadow of someone approached it.

Meanwhile by a river, Mirabel hugged her knees; she couldn't stop crying.

Abuela's eyes widened at the sight of the river, she had been a while since she went there. But she still remembered it like it was yesterday.

"Mirabel?" Abuela approached softly, looking at her granddaughter with worry. Mirabel quickly tried to wipe her face.

"I'm sorry." She sniffed. "I didn't want to hurt us. I just wanted...to be something I'm not." She hiccupped.

Abuela glanced at the water for a moment, before sitting down next to Mirabel. "I've never been able to come back here." She admitted.

Mirabel's heart beat faster than ever,

"This river...is where we were given our Miracle."

Everyone's eyes widened in realization.

Mirabel looked at her tearfully. "Where Abuelo Pedro..."

Abuela tried to hold back her own tears. "I thought we would have a different life..." Her past self walked by as the scene changed. "I thought I would be a different woman."

Abuela sighed with sadness.

Alma stepped up to the crowd and got a candle like everyone else, but it was so crowded she couldn't see.

So, she climbed up a tree and looked over the crowd, and to her surprise, a man had done the exact same.

"Pedro..." Abuela whispered feeling sorrow on her insides.

A yellow butterfly flew by Pedro, and he noticed her. He smiled and waved.

Alma waved back, only to almost fall, making Pedro chuckle.

"Two caterpillars."

Camilo stared very intensely at the screen. "Mmm...don't cry. Don't cry."

Dolores knew it was sad but almost laughed hearing her brother say those words.

Alma and Pedro chatted away as they ate together.

"In love with each other."

Then it was their wedding day.

Tears burned Abuela's eyes at the sight. 'Oh my Pedro...'

"Spend their nights and dawns, full of hunger."

A picture showed the two holding a candle together happily at their wedding.

At their home, Alma held up a paper doll while Pedro had his eyes closed.

"They keep walking and navigating a world," Pedro opened his eyes and beamed, but then Alma unfolded it to be three paper dolls, and he fell back. "That changes and keeps changing, navigating a world," Alma worried he fainted, but he turned out to be fine and pulled her into an excited hug.

"Ooooh Papa." Pepa gushed.

"That keeps changing and changing," The babies were born and the two were happy as can be. "Two caterpillars against the wind."
