The Resistance had a small celebration after they returned to the depot. Lloyd’s message was out and in the air. He felt pretty proud. Everyone was proud of him. Their next step was to grow their Resistance. They thought of all who could help, but looking back at it, they didn’t have many options.
In the meantime, Lloyd watched the sunset. If today was successful, imagine what could happen tomorrow. Things were looking up.
“Hey, Lloyd.” Nya said.
The Ninja turned around at the call of his name.
“What do you think?” Nya asked, moving aside to reveal her latest project. A cubed foundation with scrap metal being welded onto it.
“It looks like a box.” Lloyd said. “It’s so heavy. If we’re found, we’ll be sitting ducks in there!” He exclaimed.
“Don’t judge her before she’s finished. I got the basic stuff down, we’ll finish it in no time.” Nya crossed her arms and smirked.
“You’re the expert I guess.” Lloyd shrugged it off.
Ray rolled out from under the tank and pulled up his welder’s mask. Right. Master blacksmith, of course he’d know his way around working metal. “You better believe it.” He said with pride. “What you need right now is armour. This thing will give it to you.” Ray patted the side of the tank.
A total of four people were working away on the tank. Skylor, Nya, Ray and Karlof. Guess you can never get enough people on a project.
“You should get some sleep, Lloyd.” Maya walked up to the boy.
Lloyd looked out the window again. “It’s not dark yet.”
“That’s not a reason not to get some rest.” Maya moved over to the Green Ninja and guided him over to the table to sit down.
“I can rest, but I won’t sleep.” Lloyd said, sitting down. He knew that he couldn’t actually protest.
“Then how about a story?” Maya suggested, sitting next to him.
“Mom, he’s the Green Ninja, he’s not five.” Nya groaned from her work.
“No, I don’t mind.” Lloyd raised his hand. In fact, he was getting kind of excited.
“You remember your father and Morro's fighting side by side?” Maya asked. “And remember their fight against the time twins?”
“Well, not exactly. During that time, Master Wu was always out of it and I don't think Morro really liked that time so I never asked.” Lloyd said, ruffling his hair.
“Well they were formidable.” Maya said. “Eh– both sides. However, your parents had a way of fighting together. They may have taught us, Wu and Garmadon themselves are trained by the First Spinjitzu Master. They moved effortlessly. Twirling around each other almost like it was a dance.” Maya recalled.
Then she giggled. “I think that's why they always beat me and Ray when sparring. We may have been in love but the brothers were more in sync.” Maya sighed.
Lloyd perked up. “Really? A unique fighting style… Me and Morro have something like that.” He said. “He created a form. I like to think it’s the wind form because one doesn’t exist and you know, he’s the wind master. But Morro just calls it Nagare. Then, especially since we have the Wisteria Link, we’re able to resonate together and fight more efficiently.” Lloyd explained.
“Oh, really?” Maya nodded her head as she listened to Lloyd. It was like a little boy explaining trains to an adult.
“Yeah, here, I can show you some of it!” Lloyd pushed his chair and back and stood up. He started to make his way over to the open area to perform some of the forms he learned from Morro.
