Alchemy Fundamentals

Refer to this page for information regarding different types of used alchemy and their implied effects throughout the book.

The Five Orbits*:

1) mitesco- (blue) softens or breaks the chemical chain of any substance

2) corrigo- (green) mends a certain part of any substance

3) reficio- (red) rebuilds any substance by first breaking it down and then reconstructing it to something else

4) emendo- (purple) corrects any substance to its previous chemical form

5) reformo- (yellow) improves or strengthens the chemical chain of any substance

*These transmutation circles bear the simple outline of a 5-pointed star inside the drawn circle. The most important five points alongside the circle outline should be placed accurately otherwise the transmutation will not work effectively.

Definitions:

Alchemy is an influential philosophical tradition whose practitioners have, from antiquity, claimed it to be the precursor to profound powers. The defining objectives of alchemy are varied, but historically have typically included one or more of the following goals: the creation of the fabled philosopher's stone - the ability to transform base metals into the noble metals (gold or silver) – and development of an elixir of life, which would confer youth and longevity.

Drift rings are known as special rings alchemists use to communicate to one another. They are usually made in pairs, for two people use, but sometimes there're occasions when a group would share four or five between themselves. When communicating through a drift ring, all you need to do is project your thoughts out towards the receiver and it simply works like long-distance telepathy. However, you can only receive signals from the other rings that you are paired with.
