The sun was beginning to rise over the freshly mowed grass of the rolling hills of Ninjago as Sensei Wu and Samuel Holland or Sam journeyed towards the small village of Ignacia. The air was crisp, and the distant sounds of birds waking up filled the tranquil morning. Sam a once powerful ninja who wielded the Element of Light, walked alongside Wu with tense silence mixed between the two. Though he had lost his elemental powers on the right side of his face, from his cheek to his lip was a nasty scar from a battle, marked as a reminder of what he lost that awful battle.
"Once these ninjas are ready and no longer need me, I'll leave once more" Sam promised Wu, his voice steady but tinged with sorrow. The duo walked hastily through the crowded market of Ignicia, as they headed for the blacksmith shop on the outskirts of the village.
Wu remained silent for a moment "I understand Sam. I am sorry that I have to disturb your solitude. But the ninja will need your guidance and experience to get them through this"
Sam halted and turned to look at Wu's cerulean blue eyes. "I'll do what I can."
Sam opens the door to the blacksmith shop and is welcomed by the heat burning from the Kelm.
Sam opens the door for Wu, Wu starts to browse the merchandise. Sam decides to browse other sections of the store, his curiosity gets the better of him and picked up a small dragon statue made of bronze.
"Hmm...your metal is loud and heavy. Useful to slow one down. Useless in the art of stealth. All tools for a samurai, but for a ninja"
Kai, a 15-year-old, had quite a muscular form, most likely from working in the black shop. Kai had firey brown hair and piercing light brown eyes.
"Ninja? Huh, you're a long way from finding a ninja in these parts old man" He turns his attention briefly to Sam; "Also dude, you break that, you buy it" He turns back to Wu "And the shop is called 'Four Weapons,' not 'For Browsing.' "Either you buy something or go people you insult someone else" he orders his words carrying the weight of authority despite his young age.
Nya his 13-year-old sister, with flowing black hair and striking blue eyes that reflected her beauty and intelligence. As Kai engaged with Sensei Wu, Nya motioned to him, to show their visitor around the shop, her graceful gestures betraying her quiet confidence.
Nya converts her attention to Sam. She tucks her hair behind her ear.
"You got your eye on that one?" She asked, her tone carrying a hint of curiosity as she sought to understand Sam's intentions.
"I'm just admiring the craftsmanship of this sculpture. It's well done" he compliments, his words genuine as he observes the intricate details of the piece. A soft blush rises to Nya's cheeks.
"Why thank you, sir. I made it myself" she informs Sam, her voice tinged with pride at her creation.
"You're very talented, I can see you making something marvellous in the future. Also, there is no need to call me 'sir'" he tells her.
The duo looks over at Kai and Wu, to see Wu has vanished from sight.
"What is it?" Nya asks her brother, noticing the puzzled expression on his face."He was just...forget it," Kai replied, shaking his head slightly as if to dismiss the thought.
"He does that a lot, you'll get used to it" Sam informs Kai, his tone carrying a hint of amusement at the familiar behaviour of the wise sensei.
