After 2 years

Author's POV

"Mummaa, pan-cake me-e eat" the little girl said in her baby voice who was sitting in front of Jiya.

"My Kanu wants me to feed her pancakes? Okay then open your mouth" Jiya said and started feeding her the pancakes.

"Now let's go, we will enjoy today because today your mumma is having a day off." she said and picked her up from the chair and started going outside.

"Ice-cream eat" the little girl said.

"Yes we will eat ice cream too." she said and the little girl in her arms started jumping excitedly making her laugh at her cuteness.

They both left from there in their car and all the bodyguards were behind them in another car.

Jiya was all alone after she left India. Nobody was beside her when she was alone and one day she suddenly went to an orphanage to donate money where she saw the world's cutest creature.

That girl was only 6 months old and was wearing a baby pink colour fork. When Jiya first saw her, she realised that now she doesn't have to become a wife for becoming a mother because now she can adopt this beautiful creation of God.

She adopted her and talked to her parents about it. At first, they were hesitating but a single picture of their grand daughter was enough to melt their hearts and they agreed and now it's been 2 years since she is with Jiya as the most precious part of her life. She is ready to lose anyobody but not her daughter, she can die for her daughter. Her daughter is not a piece of her heart but her whole heart. That little soul filled colours in her black and white life and now nobody can steal her daughter.

Jiya's POV

"Mommu see stars" Kanu said who is sitting on my lap in the balcony. I can bet that she is also a moon and stars gazer just like me.

"They are beautiful right, but not more than my Kanu." I said pinching her nose and we both laughed.

Dusshera is near and all those memories flashed in front of my eyes which I spent with him. But that doesn't matter to me anymore because now I have Kanu, she is the light in my life's darkness and I only need her by my side.

I was lost in my thoughts when suddenly my phone started ringing. It's mummy.

Me: Hello darling ji, how are you?

Mummy: I am good, now give the phone to my bachi.

Me: Then who am I? You know what I am being ignored by you since Kanu came.

Mummy: Enough of your drama, now give the phone.
I put the phone on speaker.

Mummy: Hello meri Kanu bachi kesi ho ap? Apki Nani ne apko bhout miss kiya.
( How are you my Kanu dear? Your grandmother missed you a lot)

Kanu: Go-ood mee. You-u miss.

Mummy: Really, you missed me too. Well Kanu bacha you and your mother have to come to India as Dusshera and Diwali are coming.

Kanu: I come, you sweets m-ake.

Mummy: Yes I will make a lot of sweets for my bachi and listen carefully, you the mother of my bachi I want my Kanu to be here before Dusshera.

Me: But mummy I have work.

Mummy: Jiya stop it, it's been 2 years since I last saw you. How will you feel if I ask you stay away from Kanu for 2 days? Your heart will come out from your chest just by hearing this. Then how can you expect me to be because I haven't seen my daughter for the last two years. I haven't seen my grand daughter yet in person so now no more lame excuses, you are coming and that's final.
