Author's POV
As soon as both of them got down from the car, they saw that everyone including Jiya's family was present there to welcome Jiya.
She went towards the elders with a gentle smile and greeted them. She realised that Kanu was not there so she decided to ask.
"Mumma where is Kanu?" she asked.
Her mother was about to say something but an excited Kanu came running towards Jiya with her baby steps while Radhika was behind her.
Jiya smiled and took her in her arms.
"Missed mumma?" she asked and Kanu nodded with a pout making jiya smile, she engulfed her in a gentle hug.
They all went inside and everyone started to continue with the preparations of the Diwali Pooja. Jiya was standing in the kitchen doing nothing when Radhika came.
"Jiya dii please help me to make a beautiful Rangoli, I don't know how to make one. I asked Janvi dii too but she said that she don't know how to make it and moreover she is busy in decorating the temple with Kanu and dadi" she exclaimed.
"Come I will help you out" she said and they both went into the living room.
There she saw all the men talking which included Bhavik too. He was not talking but just sitting beside his younger brother who was blabbering something continuously.
They both sat down and Jiya started to make a beautiful design of rangoli with flowers and petals with a sacred Lakshmi footprint in between.
After 40 minutes she released a satisfactory smile while rubbing her hands together.
"Wow dii it looks damn pretty, I must say you are good artist" Radhika exclaimed.
"No not really, you helped me a lot only then we were about to make it" she said and both chuckled.
"Radhika, jiya come quickly, the Pooja is about to start" Bhavik's mother said to both of them.
They both got up and went in a hurry to wash their hands.
Soon the Pooja started and each couple started doing the arti one by one.
Kanu did Pooja with Jiya and all the other youngsters did it alone including Janvi as her husband was not present.

All the members were placing candles and diyas in the house, Jiya took a diya and placed it on the center on the rangoli when her eyes fell on the plate filled with the red colour of rangoli. She took it in her hands.
She thought about keeping it in the storeroom, she was about to turn around when she lost her balance and bumped into him, he got a hold of her waist at the right time but the red colour fell all over both of them and it was none other than Bhavik. The plate and Bhavik's mobile both fell down.
Both of their clothes got filled with colour but she was still in his arms, lost in deep thoughts and he was lost in her eyes. None of them were ready to look away when a voice interrupted their sweet moments and it was Shiv.
"Did I disturbed something?" Shiv said making both Jiya and Bhavik to straighten themselves and stand straight. They both were red due to embarrassment and the silence was making it even more awkward.
"I-I think I should clean myself" Jiya said and ran upstairs.
Shiv coughed and teasing narrowed his eyes towards Bhavik.
Bhaiya- Bhavik cut him off.
"Just shut up, don't tell this to anybody" he said.
"What will I get in return?" he encuired.
