“My brother!” Keenan exclaimed, looking past Will. “come, join the festivities!”

“What are we celebrating Keenan?” Meliorn smiled nervously.

“Will here has found Sayre! My princess is coming home!”

“I did it!” Meliorn burst out, unable to hide it any longer.

            “What?” Keenan asked.

Meliorn spilled the entire story. About Donia, Jennelyn, everything. The he dropped his glamour. His black streaked hair and his black eyes were revealed.

Automatically, Will reached for the sword at his belt, but Keenan’s hand stopped him.

            “Your majesty?” Will questioned.

“Meliorn, get off your knees. As your king, I should allow Will to carry out the death penalty. But as your brother, I don’t want lose you. I will eventually forgive you, and so will Amalya, but it doesn’t matter if we do. Sayre has to as well.”

“I can assure that the girl William here found is Sayre.” Meliorn replied with is head bowed

“I can go speak with her, your majesty,” Will suggested.

“No, I think I should,” Keenan said. “Something like this should come from her father.”

Setting out to find Sayre, it never occurred to Keenan to bring guards or look around. If he had been paying attention, he would’ve seen Donia hiding in the shadows, waiting for him. When she showed herself, she literally froze him in his tracks. The only things that would break the ice was having the princess defeat Donia, and in her world, that would never happen.

Hours passed and when Keenan didn’t return, Will realized something was wrong.

“What if she wont believe him?” Amalya said for the millionth time. “They should be back by now. Its been hours!”

“I’ll go see what’s going on.” He said “She’s probably just being stubborn.”

Will set out to Sayre apartment, only to find her sitting alone in the park, listening to music.

“Sayre?” When she heard Will’s voice saying her name, she looked up.

“Will?” she asked, “What are you doing here?”

“What am I doing here? That’s my question for you!” He exclaimed. “You should be at the castle by now, with your real parents!”

“Castle? Real parents? Will, what are you talking about?”

“This cant be good… if he hasn’t been here yet…” Will muttered to himself.

“If who hasn’t seen me? Will, what is going on?”

“No time to explain. C’mon.”  He grabbed her hand and took her to the edge of the park. “Close your eyes.” he whispered. It was a few minutes before he spoke again. “Okay, open.”
