The kingdom of Suryavarta looked like a bride adorned with flowers, with clean roads and large, colorful rangolis created by the people. Everyone was busy, with a man who appeared to be in charge ordering them, "Work fast, we only have a few minutes left. We don't know when our goddess will arrive at the entrance. We should be ready to welcome her." The joy was palpable, as if happiness had returned to their lives after many years.

This festive atmosphere was even more pronounced in the palace of Suryavarta. Maharaja Shivendra was excitedly giving orders to his younger brother Bhaskara. Maharani Hemlata Devi was busy selecting jewelry and clothes, while Rajamata Nirmala Devi was instructing the cooks to prepare special dishes. Rani Ratna Devi was occupied with decorating and renovating a room. Despite the flurry of activity, Sadhana Devi stood aside, feeling lonely, and wondered to herself, "Do I not deserve forgiveness?" With this thought, she quietly retreated to her chamber.

A soldier approached Maharaja Shivendra, who was dressed in a royal blue outfit adorned with gold and rare gemstones, with a shining crown on his head. His face was filled with curiosity as he asked, "What news do you bring?" The soldier, with a broad smile, replied, "Your Highness, the princess has arrived at the fort and will reach the palace within a few minutes." This was the moment the entire kingdom and royal family had been eagerly awaiting.

According to their tradition, every prince and princess from royal families worldwide must go to an ashram to complete their education in all necessary fields for their future roles. Anahita, who had left the kingdom and her family 12 years ago, was finally returning, and everyone was excited to see her.

The entire royal family gathered at the palace entrance to welcome her. The news had spread among the common people, who were also eager to see their princess. A golden chariot approached, and everyone was ready to shower it with flowers. When it stopped, a beautiful girl stepped out. Her eyes were like those of a deer, accentuated with kajal, and her smile was so radiant it seemed to contain the beauty of the entire world. She wore a bright red dress and gold jewelry adorned with white, red stones, and diamonds. Her thick, dark hair was decorated with golden accessories and a blue lotus. It was clear to everyone that this was none other than Rajakumari Anahita. As she walked among the people, they showered her with flowers and cheered joyfully.

A girl from the crowd called out, "Rajakumari, how are you?" Anahita turned, recognized her instantly, and with a bright smile said, "Malini, I am good. Please come to the palace this evening. I have so much to share with you, my friend." Malini, eyes filled with tears of joy, whispered to herself, "The world may change, but my beloved princess and friend never will."

Anahita gracefully greeted everyone with a namaste as she made her way to the palace gate. Shivendra, unable to contain his happiness, ran to her and placed his hand on her head, saying, "My dear, I missed you every second. Each day without you was incomplete." Tears filled his eyes as he spoke. Before Anahita could respond, Rajamata Nirmala Devi intervened, "Raja Shivendra, you can talk to your beloved daughter later. Now, let us perform the rituals. Hemlata, take Anahita to the pond to complete the rituals and let her receive God's blessings first, and then the elders'."

Maharani Hemlata led Anahita to the pond where she bathed, worshipped, and then was dressed in beautiful clothes and jewelry by the maids. Hemlata and Ratna Devi were waiting to see her, and Hemlata applied kajal behind Anahita's ear for good luck. After taking their blessings, Anahita went to the hall where everyone awaited her. She greeted everyone with a great smile and took their blessings. Noticing someone missing, she asked her mother, "Mom, where is Mata Sadhana? Why hasn't she come here?"

Rajamata Nirmala Devi quickly replied, "She is not feeling well, dear. Now, go and rest. I will send your lunch to your chamber. We have a family dinner tonight where you can spend time with us."

Anahita agreed but soon noticed Rani Sadhana Devi standing near a door, seemingly hiding. Anahita approached her and said, "Mata, why are you standing here? Please bless me." Everyone was shocked to see Sadhana there, and Maharaja Shivendra and Rajamata Nirmala Devi were visibly angry. Sadhana, with tear-filled eyes, was about to bless her, but Nirmala signaled Ratna Devi to stop her. Ratna Devi intervened, "Sister, you should be resting. The doctor advised you to take it easy. Come with me." She led Sadhana away.

After Sadhana left, Nirmala scolded her, "How dare you come here? We told you to stay away." Sadhana tried to speak, but no one listened, and everyone left the room. Even Maharaja Shivendra did not speak to her. Sadhana felt deeply hurt.

Maharani Hemlata asked Anahita to rest after lunch. Anahita, happy to see her room unchanged after 12 years, ate and then went to the balcony to enjoy the view before falling asleep.

Why did everyone hated Sadhana Devi ?
