The door burst open, and Eldric, along with the other knights, stormed into the room.
Their eyes scanned the area. Eldric, ever perceptive, was the first to catch sight of Jullian.
His eyes locking with Jullian across the room. Eldric gracefully made his way towards Jullian. With a concerned expression,
He approached Jullian, his footsteps echoing in the now silent room.
"Hey, are you alright, Prince Jullian?" Eldric asked, his voice filled with genuine worry. But before he could finish his sentence, Jullian's glare intensified, and he gripped his sword tightly.
"After throwing me into danger, that's not what you should be asking, Sir Eldric," Jullian snapped, his voice dripping with anger.
Confusion clouded Eldric's face as he took a step back. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.
"You trapped me with a fucking demon! Have you gone nuts?" Jullian yelled, his sword pointed directly at Eldric.
Eldric's eyes widened in shock as he tried to make sense of the situation.
"What are you trying to say, Prince?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine concern.
Is he trying to play innocent?
Is he trying to play the victim?
Or Is he really saying truth?
"Eldric was with us the whole time, Prince Jullian," another knight whispered gulping hard, stepping in front of Eldric.
"Are you saying I'm lying, Sir Angus" Jullian yelled, his voice echoing aloud.
"Oh no Someone needs to get Prince Jack here before the crown prince ends up breaking another significant pot." Angus lightly whispered to Eldric, who was just behind him.
"Sir Angus, Answer me! Do you think I'm lying?"
"No Prince, It's just I can't smell any trace of demon here," Angus said, bowing after Jullian.
And then, the door swung open, revealing Jack standing there, a perplexed expression etched across his face. His brows furrowed as he scanned the room. The confusion danced in his eyes, like a puzzle waiting to be solved.
As he took steps forward, the Knights fell momentarily silent so does Jullian. Jack's eyes landing on Jullian, who stood tall and fierce, pointing his sword at Eldric.
But as soon as Jack's eyes met Jullian's. Jullian's anger seemed to fade into the background, replaced by a quiet and hidden intensity. His grip on the sword loosened, and a veil of composure settled over him, concealing the storm within.
"What's happening here,?" Jack asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Nothing, Just Eldric had me locked up with a demon," Jullian whispered, rolling his eyes.
"A demon?"
"Yeah, A demon."
"Are you alright? Did that demon did something to you?" Jack asked with widened eyes.
Do you wanted that demon to do something to me?
Jullian just shook his head, narrowing his eyes.
"Where is Raisel?" Jack asked, changing the topic his eyes scanning the room.
"You should ask Eldric, Why did he locked me with a demon?" Jullian said calmly, completely ignoring Jack's question.
"Prince, I didn't locked you with a demon," Eldric said, his voice stern.
"You came to me and said that the royal wizard Owen wanted to meet me, and then you just threw me in this room and locked it, didn't you?"
"Prince, I was with the queen, with other knights. I wasn't even present at the banquet."
Jullian opened his mouth, to say something but then he hesitated and closed it.
"Jullian, where's Raisel?" Jack asked, his voice filled with concern.
"I don't know. She was at the banquet," Jullian sighed, shrugging his shoulders.
"But she ain't there anymore. I thought she was with you," Jack grunted, his jaw clenched tight.
"What do you mean?" Jullian asked, pinching the tip of his nose, his brows furrowing in confusion.
"It's obvious that the demons weren't after you. They didn't harm you, and now Raisel's gone missing. What does that mean, Jullian?"
