"Wake up, Val! Wake up!"

"What?" Valeria Gullveig opened her eyes and saw Jack and Myron Bentham standing in front of her desk.

"Did you fell asleep studying?" Myron asked as if observing the behavior of a rare animal.

"That's not important!" Jack said. "I saw the guard delivered some package to Miss Avocet's room!"

"She's been sending letters with ymbrynes across the world, that's nothing new." Myron said disapprovingly.

"Who would sent a letter in the middle of the night?" Jack argued. "It must be something they don't want us to know."

"Hold on a second," Valeria interrupted them, "You guys risk getting caught of sneaking into a girl's room just to tell me this?"

"Every room here is girl's room, it's not like there's any male ymbrynes. Anyways, Val, I see you fall asleep studying ancient peculiar mythologies, why not take it to Miss Avocet? You can solve whatever problem you have, and we may get a look on that mysterious package." Jack suggested.

"Soyou want a distraction. Why don't you just ask Alma?" Valeria asked. "Surely she wouldn't refuse a little favor between siblings?"

"You know I don't trust her on things like this," Jack said a little annoyedly, "She's more likely to just tell Miss Avocet what we are up to. And we don't have time to come up with a proper excuse to trick her. You are the only one we can trust with this."

"Yeah. Alright, I suppose I can help you with that." Valeria considered it, "Just tell me whatever you find after we are done. And make sure you don't get caught."

Jack scaned the room as Miss Avocet was distracted by Valeria and Myron. Eventually he noticed a package that seemed to have been ripped open just minutes ago.

He glanced at Miss Avocet, still absorbed in the discussion of ancient mythologies.

Jack quietly moved towards the package. On the package paper was a symbol of a long-necked bird holding a pocket watch with its beak and three fish swimming under its feet. The Asian Ymbryne Council.

Inside the package was a plain old notebook. The title reads:

Miss Bulbul's research journal and the Legends of the Mother of Birds.
