It was when Brei Blevine Lynn Swan turned thirteen that she had to keep the biggest secret of her life, the year her half sister, Isabella Marie Swan, made the decision for the both of them not to visit their father anymore, the exact night they had gotten into that argument. She had started to feel like she would break something- or someone- so she ran out the door into the hot night air of Phoenix, Arizona.

To her complete astonishment, she turned into a maned wolf, an animal that was supposed to be from Brazil. It took three days for her to finally calm down and shift back, three days of Bella getting worried sick, while Renee told her it was probably for the best.

Now, six years later into the shifting secret, herself and her sister were moving back to Forks, Washington, to live with their dad, Charlie Swan.

And shit, was she in for a wild ride.

He's forty two, get your facts right

Mommy issues. That was the running joke Brei Blevine Lynn Swan had between her and her younger half-sister, Isabella Marie Swan. It all started when Brei told her sister she had a thing for older men, specifically guys over 20. And since Brei had a good relationship with their father, they opted for "mommy issues", which, in all honesty, quite fit, for Brei and Renee never had a...great relationship, due to Renee never getting over the fact that a year before she married her now ex-husband, Charlie Swan, Charlie had a life with the woman he thought he would grow old with before her untimely death, Accalia Robin Quinn Loba.

And her sister brought the mommy issues up once again, three hours into their plane ride to their fathers house, when she noticed Brei looking at pictures of Johnny Depp again.

"Brei, you know that he's like forty, right?" Bella questioned incredulously. I looked up sharply.

"Actually, he's forty two, get your facts right, Bella." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes. Bella laughed, then said "I see your mommy issues haven't changed one bit!"

When we landed in port angeles, it was raining. A typical thing here. Our father, Charlie, was waiting for us with the cruiser. This I was expecting. Our dad is Police Chief Swan to the good people of Forks. This was Bella's primary reason for wanting to buy a car, despite the scarcity of her and I's funds. She refused to be driven around town in a car with a red and blue on top. "Nothing slows down traffic like a cop." She'd said.

Charlie gave us both awkward one-armed hugs when we walked off the plane. Well, more like I walked and Bella stumbled.

"It's good to see you, Bella, Lynn." he said, using my middle name and smiling as he automatically caught and steadied Bella. "You haven't changed much," he said to Bella. "How's Renee?" He directed his question towards me.
