As I followed Lord Diavolo and Lucifer into the demon castle, I was mesmerized by its design.

The castle was full of narrow hallways, with old tapestries showing battles and brave ancestors hanging on the walls. The black marble floors felt cold under our feet, and chandeliers hung above us, their crystals sparkling in strange ways. Thick velvet curtains covered the tall windows, keeping out the cold night air and making the castle feel even darker.

In the center of the castle was the throne hall, a huge room with banners showing the royal family’s symbol. In the middle stood a black throne with gold details, surrounded by statues of old kings and protectors. The stained glass windows showed pictures of battles and victories, casting soft, colorful light on the shiny floor.

As we walked through the halls, a few servants nodded politely. When we got to a room on the second floor, the door opened, and a man with green hair stood there, smiling as he greeted us.

"Welcome, young master," his voice was calm. His eyes shifted toward me. "You must be the new exchange student."

I nodded. "Hello. I'm Hazel."

"Barbatos," he smiled.

"Hazel, Barbatos is my right hand and the butler of the demon castle. If you need anything, just tell him," Lord Diavolo explained.

I nodded. Barbatos was the demon who pledged his loyalty to Lord Diavolo in the game. He always stood by his side and followed him wherever he went. He was also a character who rarely appeared in scenes but had an important role in moving the story. He was a great help and supporter of Rielle in the game.

However, the good thing about him is that he treated both me and Rielle equally. He never judged Hazel and always helped her when she was in trouble. Of course, in his own way—fair and square. But he never mistreated Hazel. In fact, he didn’t care what happened between Rielle and Hazel.

"What do you think of this room, Hazel?" asked Lord Diavolo.

I looked around. The walls were adorned with luxurious red curtains painted with historical battles and mythical animals. Small windows high up on the walls allowed the midnight colors to show through. Thick velvet curtains hung alongside, parted slightly to reveal the courtyard bathed in silvery moonlight.

Opposite another wall was a magnificent four-poster bed with a canopy made of dark velvet curtains falling to the floor. The sheets and pillows on the bed were made of black silk, contrasting with the dark wooden bed frame intricately carved with somewhat evil engravings.

Across the room from the bed, a large stone fireplace reached up to the ceiling, where an inviting fire blazed, casting flickering shadows around the room. Above the fireplace hung a huge painting of a demon lord dressed in magnificent clothes, with red eyes that seemed to track your every move.

By the windows was a tea-drinking area, equipped with antique chairs upholstered in deep burgundy velvet with silver filigree on the backrests.

Stunning. That’s the only word I can use to describe it.

"I love it," I smiled. "Thank you, Lord Diavolo."

Lord Diavolo chuckled. "I’m glad you like it!"

"I hope you will not give Lord Diavolo and Barbatos any trouble," said Lucifer. He had been quiet and observing my movements the whole time.

Well, Lucifer can at times be a little… how shall I put it? Suspicious of Hazel. He constantly doubts all her actions. However, instead of doing it directly, he always seems to find a way to mock her. Every possible way!
