Thump!

I raised my head to see who had the audacity to slam my table. I had already expected him, actually.

"Good morning, Mammon," I said calmly.

It was my first day in class, and I had really wished for a peaceful day. But seeing Mammon pull out a chair and sit in front of me with that annoying, dumb expression shattered my hopes.

"Don't 'good morning' me! Do you think I forgot what happened yesterday? How dare you look down on the great Mammon!" he gritted his teeth.

"When did I do that?" I didn't look at his face and pulled out my notebook, preparing for class.

"Do you have a goldfish memory or what? Not only are you dumb, but you're the stupidest, weakest human I've ever met," Mammon glared.

"Who's the best human you’ve ever met? Rielle or Solomon?" I asked. Solomon was the first exchange student, a character that rarely appeared in the game, known only for being a sorcerer.

"You…!" Mammon grabbed my collar, and all the students in the class turned their attention to us.

"Mammon!" A soft voice scolded him. It was Rielle, who had just walked into the class with a few demons.

"Let go of Hazel," Rielle gently grabbed Mammon’s arm, but he didn’t budge.

"I need to teach this rude human a lesson!" Mammon snapped.

I stared at him calmly. "Let me go."

But Mammon's grip tightened. Asmo came over and scolded Mammon. "Do you want to anger Lucifer? Let her go, you idiot!"

"I don’t care if I get hung from the ceiling for a thousand years, as long as I can make this rude human beg for forgiveness. So beg me, human."

I sighed. What did I ever do to deserve dealing with someone like this?

"Let go," I asked again.

Mammon just scoffed. "Beg."

"MAMMON…!"

Zap! Everyone’s eyes shifted to the door. There stood Lucifer, Lord Diavolo, and Barbatos. Lucifer was already in his demon form. The class, once chaotic, suddenly went quiet.

Gulp! Mammon swallowed dryly. His hand loosened from my collar as he stepped back.

"Would you mind telling me what’s happening right now?" Lord Diavolo spoke, his voice calm yet cool, without his usual laughter.

"I…" Mammon stuttered under Lucifer’s eagle-eyed gaze.

Rielle stepped forward to protect Mammon. "It was a misunderstanding. Mammon didn’t do anything wrong."

"He did something wrong," I said, drawing everyone's attention. Lucifer frowned.

Mammon's eyes widened. "You are the one…!"

"He came to me, angry about something I didn't even know about," I ignored him and continued, my voice clear.

Mammon scoffed. "You looked down on me! You're just a human and you dare…!"

He stepped toward me again, but Asmo prevented him.

"Lord Diavolo and Lucifer are here, you moron!" Asmo had lost his temper.

"You say I looked down on you. When did I do that? You are the one who touched me without my consent, and I just pushed you off. Is that wrong?" I asked calmly, staring into his golden eyes.

I stepped forward, closer to him, as Asmo and Rielle held him back. "You keep saying I look down on you. Then how about you? You keep calling me an idiot, stupid, and weak. Should I have the permission to do the same to you?" My tone was calm yet firm and cold.
