Mr. Kumar who had been silently observing Rohit and Virat, finally spoke up, his voice carrying a hint of resignation. "There's something you need to know," he said, his tone serious. "Something beyond the official reports."
"What you read in the files is only part of the story," he said, his voice dropping to a whisper. "There's more to the Bloodhill Forest that has been kept hidden from the public eye."

As the man spoke, his voice seemed to lose its friendly tone.  and there was suddenly a noticeable change in the atmosphere of the room.

His voice grew deeper and more serious as he continued, sharing the historical context of the mysterious old house. "In those days, before the forest was even planted, there was a man who lived in that  house. It was a time when the place we now know as the Bloodhill Forest was once just an open field.

The man had a terrible secret. He worshipped the devil and practiced dark magic. His own family, his wife and son, unfortunately became his first victims, sacrificed to the devil as part of his rituals."

The words hung heavy in the air, the gravity of his revelation weighing on their minds. "Not only that," he continued, "he used to offer humans to the devil, sacrificing them in exchange for the powers he craved.

The villagers were deeply affected by  his actions, and their anger eventually boiled over. They decided to take justice into their own hands. One night, they set fire to the entire house, burning it to the ground."

Virat and Rohit listened, their eyes wide with shock and horror. The realization that they had unknowingly fallen victim to the same cursed history sent shivers down their spines. "Are you telling us," Virat began, his voice barely above a whisper, "that the house we entered...it's the same house from the past?"

The man nodded solemnly, his expression grave. "Yes, it is the same house that has been cursed by his dark deeds. His actions have left a mark on that place, a curse that continues to claim unwitting victims to this day."

His voice took on a more ominous tone as he explained the dark truth behind the supernatural occurrences. "You see, the devil himself has a thirst for human blood. That house has become a place where the line between the mortal and the supernatural is blurred, where the devil finds willing victims. And sadly...you guys fell into the trap."

These words hit Virat and Rohit like a punch to the gut. They exchanged a glance, and a mix of dread and anger filled their expressions. They had unknowingly walked into the devil's playground and paid the price for it.

Rohit clenched his fists, his mind racing with fear and frustration. "Why didn't anyone tell us any of this before we went into the forest?" he accused, his voice edged with disbelief.

The man shrugged "I suppose people prefer to keep the truth buried. The forest department feared that revealing the haunted history might ruin their profitable tours. And besides," he paused, his expression growing more serious, "how many people would actually believe such tales in this day and age?"

Virat clenched his jaw, his frustration getting the better of him. "We nearly lost our lives because of that...because of a curse from centuries ago," he said through gritted teeth. "Someone should've warned us. I mean, did no one ever try to break the curse or anything?"

Mr. kumar sighed deeply, his eyes reflecting a deep-rooted resignation. "There have been attempts, but they all failed. People have tried exorcisms, blessings, even destroying the house to the ground. But the curse seems to linger, bound to the very soil that holds the history of that man's dark deeds."

Rohit and Virat exchanged a glance, the realization of the sheer magnitude of the curse sinking in. To think that their nightmarish ordeal was the result of a centuries-old curse.

"We're not there anymore so we're safe, right?" Rohit asked.

“Maybe. Maybe not The curse is unpredictable, and its effects can manifest in unexpected ways. While you may have escaped death's grip this time, there's no way to tell whether you're truly safe or if the curse still holds power over you."

The man leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed on them. "There's nothing you can do," he said bluntly. "Once you've been touched by the curse, it's possible that it has left an indelible mark on you, regardless of your escape. You've inadvertently become pawns in a centuries-old power struggle between a madman and the devil. The best you can do now is try to live your lives as best you can, haunted by the memories and scars from that night."

Both Rohit and Virat sat in stunned silence, the weight of the man's words heavy upon them. The realization that they had been pulled into a supernatural battle between good and evil, and that there was nothing they could do to change fate, made them feel small and helpless.

"Isn't there anything that can be done at all? Any solution?" Virat asked desperately, his voice cracking with emotions.

Mr. Kumar stood up, signaling that the conversation was reaching its end. "I wish I had some concrete solution for you, but the truth is, I don't. You've stumbled into something ancient and powerful, beyond my or anyone else's control."

Rohit and Virat bid farewell to the man, their minds swirling with the information they had just received. As they exited the room and stepped out into the night air, they were both silent, lost in their thoughts. The weight of the curse and the uncertainty of their future hung over their shoulders as they walked away.

The man sat back in his chair, a chilling smile slowly curling up his lips as the door finally closed behind Rohit and Virat. They have gone now, leaving the office with the weight of the curse upon their shoulders.

Mr. Kumar chuckled softly to himself,
His chuckle slowly turned into a madman’s cackle, his laughter echoing through the empty office like a sinister whisper of malevolence.

To be continued......
