Both Jeanne and Nobara fell down deep inside the portal as the air swept through their hair. As both of the girls fell down, Jeanne was holding Nobara's arm the whole time as she grabbed the other of her arm, pulling her close eventually carrying her in bridal style.
"Huh?! What are you doing?!" Nobara asked, startled as she looks up at Jeanne.
Jeanne just gave her a small unbothered smile to Nobara as they continue to fall down and down.
Nobara raised her eyebrows and her face was highlighting a lot of surprises as Nobara looked at Jeanne continuously. Jeanne landed on the ground effortlessly and let Nobara drop out from her arms. She sighed as she stood up from the ground-well, technically not a ground but a ground that sounds like water drop when being stepped on with its pitch black color. Nobara was next to her as she looked around, wide-eyed.
"W-where are we?" Nobara asked as she looked around quickly, trying to find out what the hell just happened. They were just with Megumi and Yuji a while ago and now here they are, completely in a different location. Jeanne just shrugs as she walks into the darkness, her boot steps echoing. Nobara then stands up for a bit as she smiles. Then she catches up with Jeanne.
"That was cool and nice of her. I know she was a girl boss!" Nobara thought as she grin. Jeanne smiled off the thought of Nobara's.
"Hey Jeanne, you were trying to protect me, right? If so, thanks." Nobara thanked her as she smiled and walked close to her. Jeanne look over Nobara as she put a hand on her hip.
"No problem, really." Jeanne waves off but the smile on her face didn't wore off.
"Fufufu~ Already making a friend? I would've called you pathetic if you were a human. All of those people you had lost and you still haven't learned your lesson yet?"A new chilling and commanding presence chimed in, making Jeanne stop dead in her tracks. Of course, Nobara couldn't hear it but she gave a confused look.
"Jeanne? You alright?" Nobara asked, raising her eyebrow.
Jeanne could recognize that echoing or otherworldly quality voice-what was she thinking, she is a vessel of Eternis, Herrscher of Time and Space. Long story short, it occurred in Honkai Impact 3rd universe but that's another story.
"I haven't heard of your little guardian for a while. Anyways, be aware. Those annoying pests are hiding off somewhere."
"Speaking of the devil, how about you be quiet for a good hour? She is resting. I'm glad you woke up for that little nap of yours too, Eternis. Now please go, we have a new person."
"Tch. Whatever. Just be grateful you inherited my skills, "god."
"I could literally rewrite, destroy or erase, create, and control new laws of the universe and have other powers. Please know your place." Jeanne scoffed. She could definitely hear the eye roll in the Herrscher's voice making an irk mark appear on her forehead but disappeared as she maintains her composure.
"It's giving Madoka, vessel."The Herrscher just stated unbothered.
"Jeanne? Jeanne!! Earth to Jeanne!" Nobara continued to wave her hand in front of Jeanne's face which she swatted it away softly.
"Sorry, I...had a moment." Jeanne replied, shaking her head.
"Jeanne, quit it. You are kinda making me worry y'know!" Nobara exclaimed, but a part of her was suspicious. What was Jeanne doing anyway? It's all too suspicious. Why does she have to be so mysterious, what secrets does she have? Whatever, just gotta keep quiet and ask later.
"It's so dark..." said Nobara as they walked in the middle of nowhere as they stopped, suddenly Nobara pulled out her nails and her hammer while Jeanne pulled out a gun with detailed ornamentation with both of her hands. They sensed the curse's presence.
As they looked up, a variety of theaterical masks floated above them with some eyes around them.
"Look up there Nobara. An ugly ass face of curses." Jeanne pointed her gun with her left hand. Nobara grunts in response as they position their fighting pose.
"Vessel, you could literally just easily kill off those curses with your god and physic abilities y'know. No need for the extra. You are literally the definition of universal laws, which means you could also destroy this universe and literally everything so easily." Eternis remarked as she huffed in annoyance which Jeanne ignored. After all, now it's not the time for that.
Jeanne fired her gun to the mask as it burst into pieces as the sound echoed. They both went to different directions as they prepared to fight. Nobara hit the curses with her nails and her hammer as she jumped into the air as she threw her nails at the 3 masks in front of them and hit them in several ways. She kept banging them with her hammer with her cursed techniques as the nails progressed further down the mask.
Jeanne circled around as she countlessly fired the guns she had held in her hands, as the curses exploded one by one in extensive speed and force. She then jumped up high as she kicks the masks, lifting her leg as it was a perfect angle to kick it down. She then summoned several mechanic with a detailed designs rifles around her as it got off killing off the curses as she continued to fight effortlessly with Nobara.
The problem is that there are a lot of them. But of course, that wouldn't be the issue with Jeanne around.
