MOST OF [name]'s summer was spent doing typical things. Going out with her family, with friends. Juggling a summer job and responsibilities, trying to become a better version of herself. All that while also trying to get over a painful end of a friendship. While she struggled to understand what had led Sae to ending things so abruptly, and she sometimes cried herself to sleep wondering where it all went wrong and missing the moments shared together, she slowly but surely started moving on.
Little by little she became at peace with the thought of never restoring what they once had.

One friendship might've gone down the drain, but little by little, the once seemingly strained relationship between her and Rin started changing. From never texting unless urgent to texting almost every day. From quiet, casual hangouts with little to no interactions to actual time spent together.

Although they weren't really able to meet up throughout the summer break due to their busy schedules, she was excited to find out about her parents upcoming business trip. This meant spending more time with Rin. [name] hoped that their relationship at school would be different too with how it changed over time.

HER FRIENDSHIP with Rin was very different from the one she had with Sae, it was almost strange. With Sae, there was always this lingering feeling of strangers. It was as if she didn't really know him, and he didn't know her. It was as if she couldn't be herself around him, always thinking before speaking making sure to not say something that could've upsetted or bothered him. Good intentions executed wrongly. She cared about him, she really did, but it didn't feel real. Especially after rethinking how easily he got rid of what they had, she felt as if he never even cared about her, nothing but a superficial friendship built on lies.
