It was strange how faith worked its way into life. If it hadn't been for that argument with Sae, if it hadn't been for his selfish goal to reach the top by himself, casting aside the ones he depended on, then maybe, just maybe, Rin and [name] wouldn't have gotten where they are. So despite the pain he had caused both, they were thankful for him in one way or the other.
He loved her so much. She was flawless in his eyes, like a diamond. She was the only person he could truly be himself with, the only one who he could show his vulnerable side, share his fears and dreams, share his hopes. And everything was met with a warm smile and kind words.
