*The perception of light*
--------------------------------

*Light*

Taking my patrol route, giving slight nods to the Yellow Steve. However the Yellow Steves seem to be more antsy than usual, nervous and worried as well.

I've tried to question some but that just seemed to spike up their nervousness even more.

After I finish my patrol I should ask Yellow Leader if he knows what's going on, see if he's just as antsy as his people.

"Hey, Hey Light!" LC rushes over to me, looking slightly nervous, not as much as the other Yellows however. Strange.

"LC what is going on?" I question my friend,  "Why is everyone much more antsy than normal?"

"I- Did you not feel it?" He tilts his head at me, shifting on his feet.

"Feel what?" Looking at him, what was I supposed to feel? I was confused.

"Well some people felt it differently, I felt a weird warmth? I don't know how to explain it, there was a strange chill but it felt warm? Does that make sense?" He asks me.

"Not really. But I didn't feel anything unusual, may you explain why the feeling is a concern?" I question.

"Because the energy of the realm has shifted, something is happening." LC answers with no hesitation, "Yet we can't pinpoint it, because as fast as the feeling came it left just as fast leaving us all lost."

"Strange." I look around at the Yellow Steves, what was happening?

"It'll be fine, everyone should go back to normal sooner or later. Hopefully soon." LC looks at the others, slightly worried.

"Hopefully." I echo, not knowing what else to say. This is all quite abnormal, I wonder if this strangeness is happening elsewhere.

"Good... Day you two." LC slightly jumps as we turn to look towards a tired looking Yellow Leader.

"Yellow Leader." I give him a small salute, which he waves off.

"Leader!" LC gives a small wave, "You- uuhh- are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm well, just tired. Still unable to pinpoint the origin of whatever caused the shift." The leader rubs at his noses bridge, with a sigh.

"Ah that's not that good," LC winces slightly, "Also how's the Apprentice?"

"Something happened to the Apprentice?" I question.

"He's well. Don't worry Light, that feeling that happened made him feel an overwhelming burning feeling, he's resting right now. He'll be alright, he's strong." Yellow Leader placed a gentle hand on my shoulder.

"Of course, apologies." I keep my head up, and the Yellow Leader looks sad.

"No need to apologize for something that was not your fault. Tell me Light Steve, when was the last time you took a break?" He questions me, hand still on my shoulder.

"I still have a patrol to complete." Is all I can say, and the Yellow Leader shakes his head.

"Light go rest, my men can handle the patrolling." He removes his hand from my shoulder, a soft look in his eyes.

I sigh, "Yes Sir."

As I head to my home I catch a piece of sentence that shakes me to my core.

"He reminds of my other apprentice before everything. I know he won't go down that path but I can't help but worry." The leader says with a longing and mournful tone.
