He was good at never taking his eyes off her, a habit he had created for himself while they were kids. And that was because he felt like he couldn't take his eyes off her for long before she was trying to cause trouble with other kids in the playground. And that was true, she did cause trouble with other kids, bloody trouble.

For some reason, there has always been an ignited flame within her body that just had to burn others. And with fire, it was supposed to get you burnt, but Sosuke was attracted like a moth to a flame. He couldn't get enough of it.

His calloused hands from the rough fists he was used to forming almost everyday of his life cupped his cheeks, his eyes still focusing on every detail of a move she made. And he rarely blinked while doing it, leading to his eyes getting burnt. But it didn't bother him.

"How long are you gonna be here?" Inquired Jun as she walked out the kitchen, a plate full of cut up fruits in her hands. His eyes twinkled at the sight of fruits before him, knowing it was a hospitality Jun showed to anyone that came to her house——— really, he was the only one that came to her house.

"You wanna get rid of me so quickly?" He asked her, pouting as he took the small wooden pick and stabbed it into a piece of juicy watermelon, having had been craving it for a few days now. His parents had been too busy to get him any, and he knows that Jun would serve him some——— not to say he was using her for fruits and attention, there was much more than that.

"I want to sleep soundly in my own home, knowing that I'm alone with me, myself and I," responded Jun, stabbing a piece of soft and green melon before plopping it into her mouth as well.

Chuckling at her response, Sosuke stabbed another piece of watermelon. "Did you text Umemiya by the way?" He asked her. "You know how he gets with you,"

Huffing she would have jabbed the pick into the table and break it down. Somehow the topic of Umemiya was always in her conversations with other people, it was like the universe wanted her to talk about him. "I messaged him as soon as I got home, but I don't think he should worry too much,"

He nodded in response, eyes briefly drifting to his blazer that she hung up on the coat rack. The idea of her having it had his lips pressing into a thin line and saying impulsive words, despite knowing the downside of the consequences. "I'll protect you," he told her the same words he had been chanting since they were kids, and he knew that deep within his soul, that was never changing. He was unwavering.
