Forgiveness (Kazuscara)

Chapter VII

When Kazuha and Scaramouche arrived at the party, they were met with a large crowd and loud music coming from a beautiful villa. The Kamisato were indeed one of the most rich and influent families of the city.

Kazuha quickly noticed Heizou and Yoimiya waving at him, so he ran to them without looking back at Scaramouche, leaving the dark-haired alone.

But he was not alone for long, as a ginger head waved at him and went up to him.

"- Scaramouche, heyy ! How're you ?"

Scaramouche couldn't help but sigh loudly. Out of all the people, he had to be there.

"- Hello Childe and I'm not fine because you're here.

- Aw, still as mean as usual ! Come here and drink, you'll feel better !

- Hey- "

But it was no use trying to resist Childe. Scaramouche was forcefully dragged to the bar to try God knows what kind of drink.

On his side, Kazuha had joined his group of friends. Heizou and Shinobu were here together, along with Xiao and Aether, and Yoimiya. However, Yoimiya immediately left the group when she noticed Ayaka, their host and Yoimiya's best friend. Xiao and Aether also left to hang out on their own. They seemed so absorbed by each other that no one dared to bother them.

"- Well, I guess you're staying with us, Zuzu !" exclaimed Heizou, hugging Shinobu.

"- Oh, I don't want to bother you two ! I already see some people I know, I'll tell them hi ! Have fun !"

Kazuha waved at Heizou and Shinobu and left. Heizou turned to his girlfriend, smiling.

"- How about we take a little swim together ?" he asked, pointing to the pool in the backyard.

Shinobu gave Heizou one of her rare smiles and nodded, grabbing her boyfriend's hand to lead him to the pool.

Kazuha had indeed noticed his boss Ayato, who was obviously there since he was the host of the party. He was acompanied by his husband.

"- Hi there Ayato ! Hi Thoma ! How are you two doing ?" Kazuha asked to the married couple.

Ayato smiled at Kazuha.

"- I'm doing fine, thanks ! You seem to be doing fine too ! Want a drink ? You can grab one at the bar, and then come back to chat a bit with us !

- Sure, thank you !"

Kazuha walked over to the bar, noticing Venti was the barman.

"- Hi there Venti ! Sorry, you're replacing me right now !

- Oh hi Kazuha ! Don't worry, I'm allowed to get free unlimited drinks in exchange for this, ehe~ "

Kazuha chuckled. Heizou had told him lots of stories about Venti coming back to their shared apartment very drunk and very late at night. The braid-haired young man definitely loved to party, especially when alcohol was involved.

"- So, I'll have a Sex on the Beach, please !

- Oooh~ vodka already, I see ! I'll serve it right up to you !

- Thanks !"

(A/n : Sex on the Beach is a popular cocktail made of vodka, peach liquor, orange juice and cranberry juice)

As Kazuha was about to come back to Ayato and Thoma, he heard a familiar voice calling him :

"- Kazu ?"
