(Not) My Mothers Daughter

♥️Chapter Three♥️

    The group calms down as they realize there's a magical bridge building between the two islands. I just assume we are fine since they are calm. It might surprise you, considering my mother, but I've never been one for dramatics.

    The rest of the ride was pretty quiet except for the two boys fighting. Mal has been death glaring at me the whole time but I could not be less bothered. As we pull up closer to the school I hear a band playing. As someone opens the door the two boys fall out still fighting over something.

    The two girls seem used to the boys' antics as they simply step over them. I stay in the car not wanting anything to do with the boys fighting. Mal quickly tells the boys to stop fighting since so many people are watching.

    Now that the boys are done I step out of the limo. As the crowd parts we see a woman in a blue dress walk towards all of us. She introduces herself as the Fairy Godmother. As in from cinderella.

     Mal seems interested in that and the wand. I take a mental note to remember that. Then a younger boy steps forward along with a girl I automatically get a bad vibe from. As I look at the girl I feel my bag start to rattle. I ignore it but I have no idea what it is.

     The boy introduces himself as Ben and the girl is quick to step in and make us know he's a prince. Evie immediately steps up and tries to flirt with him, what else do you expect from the evil queen's daughter. The girl makes a rude statement about how the evil queen has no power here.

    I immediately clock that statement as to never interact with her. She seems rude and I don't really deal well with rude people. Then Ben finally introduces her as Audrey. Which again she quickly makes known that she's a princess since they are dating.

    I've always been an observer since I had nothing else to do for fifteen years and I immediately notice how uncomfortable Ben seems. But I also notice the look Mal is giving to Ben. The fairy godmother makes a big gesture bringing the attention back to her and states a couple rules.

    As the fairy godmother walks away the band follows. Ben steps up to shake all of our hands as he makes a small speech. I can't help notice how he lingers on mal. He shakes my hand last and Mal immediately makes a quip to make fun of his speech. At her comment Ben walks back in front of her. Again I can't help but notice the looks they give each other.

    Audrey is obviously uncomfortable and quickly jumps in to put Mal down. Even though I don't know them it makes me angry to see them being made fun of. They have an awkward chuckle after the interaction. She may not like me but I'm kinda loving Mals vibe.

    Ben quickly changes the subject by offering us a tour. We walk up to a huge statue of who I can only assume is the king. Ben claps his hands and the statue starts to change. Carlos jumps into Jay's arms causing Jay to back into me. Jay puts Carlos down and keeps walking but Carlos stays to apologize.

    It takes me off guard for a second because no one ever apologizes on the isle but he seems sincere. I quickly tell him it's ok and we walk together to catch up with the group.As we walk into the building Mak asks about magic and wands again. There has to be something she's trying to do.

     Ben tells her that's not really a thing anymore. He says that they are all normal. Mal makes the point that they are all kings and queens in waiting. Audrey just has to jump in again and tell us about their royal blood. We get it girl, you're royal. She also grabs Ben's arm and wraps in around her, which seems to make him uncomfortable as he immediately changes the subject.

     Ben introduces us to Doug who is apparently going to show us our classes and dorms. Ben then switches his attention to Mal again. There just has to be something between them.

    We are then left with Doug who tells us he's Dopeys son as in the seven dwarfs but before he finishes he sees Evie and is entranced by her. To be honest I don't blame him, she's beautiful. Evie plays into it by introducing herself. Doug goes back to talking about what classes we will have to take. including Remedial Goodness 101. Obviously a new class just for us.

    Mal then leads the group to find the dorms but I stay down the stairs waiting for Doug to tell us where they actually are. Once he realizes they are going the wrong way he points us in the right direction. He then tries to think of all the dwarfs' names but can't think of one.

    "Sneezy" Me and Carlos both finish for him. We make eye contact for a second before he goes to follow his group with me close behind.
