meanwhile back in Dragonstone...

Jacaerys and Baela have returned from Winterfell, yet there is no sign of the young prince, Lucerys.

The prince and the princess have secured an alliance with the Starks. By doing so, Baela and Cregan Stark will be betrothed to one another.

Jacaerys can feel the mood shift as he enters his mother's room. "Your Grace. Mother, is everything alright?"

"Your brother, Lucerys, has gone missing."

Astraea "Lily" Targaryen

"I know what you are, a horse!"
I shouted as Lucerys continued to do his act.

We've been playing this game together where one acts and the other guesses who or what they are doing.

"Lily, I'm a dragon." He replies, sighing.

"Oh well, you sound like a horse—okay, okay! I yield, My Prince."
I did a courtesy before cleaning up the living room.

"Do you have to keep addressing me as "my prince" every time?"

"It sounds fancy and fun. You're a prince, right?" I smiled in response as I continued to clean.

"Yes, I am. My Lady."

"Touche. So tell me, what's it like being a prince kid? Do they feed you those fancy green grapes?"

Lucerys lets out a scoff and shakes his head, "Yes—"

"I knew it! Sorry, continue."

He smiles from my excitement, "Being a prince has its advantages, but there are also limits. I train with the guards or my older brother Jacaerys in the morning. I think you'll like it there, the view behind the castle is fantastic.

Then, I have my lessons with my septa, like learning the history of my ancestors or high valerian. I spend a moment with my dragon Arrax when there's time."

"I am glad I'm not some royalty or princess. Being nobody is quite peaceful enough." I replied as I sat down beside him.

Lucerys stares at me for a second, his eyes filled with questions I can only assume. I have caught him staring multiple times ever since we landed.

"Say it."

"Say what?" He looks back at the fireplace.

"You're questions. I know you have something to say."

"I apologize, Lily. I don't mean to overstep, but you mentioned you are no royalty, yet you have silver hair and purple eyes among your features. Have you heard of the Targaryens?"

Targaryen? The name sounds familiar, but maybe there's a possibility that my father and mother are there. Would they still want me? Do they even remember having me?

Worries and questions arise in my thoughts, feeding them with hunger and consuming every inch of my body with answers I've asked the gods to provide.

"It sounds familiar, but I doubt it. I can never imagine myself living in a castle, wearing those tight dresses, or being forced into marriage with an old shaggy man and the pressure of duty itself."

Lucerys laughed after I said "shaggy," "I'm sorry again. It wasn't my business to begin with."

"It's alright, kid, and quite honestly even if somehow, I turned about to be a Targaryen. I'd still choose the lifestyle I grew up in, and no one can take that away from me." I replied with such a firm tone.

It's quiet for a moment, the fire crackling from the fireplace surrounds the room. We both listened to the music of our thoughts while recovering from today's event.

I didn't even realize the prince left my side until the shuffling sound of books came.

I turned around and saw the young prince looking through the wooden shelves. "There's a variety of books here! I see mostly about High Valyrian."

"Gloria, she was a bookkeeper, and I was lucky enough to learn the language, without it, my bond with Virescentia would be a mess." I replied as I walked towards the window where hues of the color orange could be seen as the sun sets.

Lucerys continued going through the books, and I even told him to take some, as I would hate for the books to be left alone and become dusted.

While he was occupied with that, I went outside and surveyed the area, ensuring no one was lingering around.

Virescentia might have wounded the larger dragon, but I am certain this won't be the last time I'll be seeing them.

I have entered a world of questions and uncertainty about what's to come in the near future.

Maybe the gods are finally listening and have come to bargain my life for the price of happiness I long and yearn for, or I may have become a fool to be the prey for someone's needs and satisfaction.

"So, are you going back to Dragonstone tomorrow, kid?" I asked before going to bed.

"I think I'd stay here for a while as it's rather peaceful."

"Alright, suit yourself, My Prince." Repeating my courtesy from earlier.

He shakes his head and smiles, "Good night, My Lady." Lucerys bows before entering the room beside me.
