Jane had dyed her hair, the once bleach blonde hair was down a dark brown, highlighting her eyes and newfound maturity that developed the past years.

At that moment the school had taken a trip to the museum, Jane's English class with Ororo's history.

"Neanderthals. We once believed that they were wiped out...by years of conflict with a much more advanced branch of humanity...called Cro-Magnon man." Ororo starts, Jane continuing.

"But recent research into our own DNA...suggests that these two species may have interbred...evolving into modern humans." Jane concludes, smiling at her students.

"In other words, into what?" Ororo questions. "Us." The students chorus, Jane turning and seeing a girl stick her tongue out at her student Artie, the boy sticking his mutated one right back.

"Us. Right." Ororo says as Jane smirks. "Artie, not here." Jane chastises which made the boy rush back towards the group, Jane smiling softly.

Ever since Logan had left, Jane has changed. Her style had matured, but then again a lot of her matured those past years.

While in the food court, Ororo and Jan stood by each other, until a heavy weight fell throughout the atmosphere, people were no longer moving.

"And the next time you feel like showing off, don't." Jane hears as she and Ororo walk towards where some of their students were, the only sound being heard came from the TV near them.

"Breaking news. We're coming to you live from Washington...where there's been an attack in the Oval Office of the White House. Details are still coming in, but we have been informed...that the president and vice-president were not harmed. Sources say the attack involved one or more mutants." The news reporter said, Jane sighing sadly.

"I think it's time to leave, Professor." Scott says which made Charles nod regretfully. "I think you're right." Charles says as the school left the museum, going back to their home.

Jane had sat on the couch with Jean as they had a meeting, Ororo and Scott stood, everyone in the room was on edge.

"My opinion? Magneto's behind this." Scott says as he moved away from the window and towards the group.

"No. I don't think so, Scott. While Erik is capable of organizing something like this from prison...for him it would be irrational. It would only hurt his goal of mutant prosperity." Charles spoke up from his seat.

"You mean superiority." Scott grumbles as he sits next to Jane. "You're right. If Eric had his way-" "Of course, you know how the government will respond. They'll reintroduce the Registration Act." Ororo says, cutting off Charles as she sat on the other side of Jane.

"Or worse. The president could declare a state of emergency. Place every mutant in the country under arrest." Jane says, her tone clearly displaying her worry.
