Ivy and Caroline make their way inside, excited to talk to the sheriff about her daughter's win. Alex joined them, noticing Ivy avoided looking at him at all costs but did not mention it for fear of taking attention away from Caroline's well-deserved win.

Unfortunately, the older Forbes woman was nowhere to be found.

"Did she flake out on me again? She promised she would be here with me."

The Hawthorne watched her friend sadly and pulled her in for a tight hug, "Oh, Care..."

She was honestly in shock. She knew how motherly the sheriff could be.

"Let's forget about it, get drunk, and eat enough ice cream to give us cavities."

Caroline sniffed slightly, pulling away from her best friend, "Drinking? Who are you, and what have you done with my Ivy-Wivy?"

Ivy pinches the blonde's side while Alex lets out a small laugh at the two, "My house? No one is gonna be home." This caused Caroline to jump up and down in joy.

"Now we have to invite Elena and Bonnie and forget about our parental issues," she started, "Wait. Why do we all have some form of parental problems?"

The blonde's comment made all three teens laugh like there were no cares in the world. They started walking back to change and leave while a certain vampire was having a feeding problem.

Bonnie and Elena apologetically told their high-energy friend they couldn't make it, resulting in Alex, Caroline, and Ivy sitting around a fire with a couple of beer bottles scattered around.

The latter was tearing up, "I've known you guys for less than a year, and I can truly call you some of my favorite people on Earth."

She turned out to be an emotional drunk.

Caroline stumbled to her friend and collapsed onto her lap, bringing her in for a hug, "I love you! And I'm glad we can tell each other everything."

Ivy's face fell, sobering up a bit. She had forgotten she was here for a reason: to save lives possibly. She wasn't here for fun.

Alex noticed and decided to call her out on it this time, "Alright, what's going on with you today? You keep getting upset- and don't tell me you haven't; I noticed it a couple of times today."

Caroline looked down at her friend expectantly.

Knowing it was time to talk about it, Ivy sighed, "We need to go inside for this discussion."

The other two teens shared a look of confusion and a little concern before packing up and moving inside, as she asked.

Once comfortably inside, Caroline broke the silence, "What's going on, Ives?"

Ivy sat across from the two, fidgeting with her hands and trying to figure out the best phrasing.

"Ivanna Harlow Hawthorne, if you don't tell us what's going on, I am going to go over here and suffocate you with that pillow-"

"-I'm a witch."

They look at her for a moment before bursting out laughing.

Alex was first to speak again, "If you're not ready to talk about whatever it is, then just say that."

Ivy watches them before using her magic to shut all the blinds and make the pillows float around them.

"And my last name isn't Hawthorne... It's McCall."

The two teens are frozen in disbelief.

"I changed it to Hawthorne based on a character from The Hunger Games, and I couldn't use my real last name because if anyone got that information, they could find my family."

She let the pillows fall and nervously watched for their reactions.

"Vampires, witches, and werewolves are real, and so are doppelgangers. While we're at it, Elena is a doppelganger. The Salvatores are vampires, and the Lockwoods are werewolves."

Ivy started pacing at this point.

"And I'm pretty sure Bonnie is starting to practice magic; her family is a long line of very powerful witches. I'm a different kind of witch, though."

"You're... a witch?"

Ivy looked at her friends apologetically, "Surprise?"

They stared at her in bewilderment before Caroline said, "So that's why you didn't want me around Stefan's brother..."

"It was more than just that, but yeah. Do you have any questions?"

Alex abruptly stood up and walked out the back door without saying a word, causing Ivy to sink into the cushion in shame, "He hates me."

Caroline cautiously moved to sit next to her friend and pulled her in for a hug, "No, he doesn't. He just- he needs a minute. This is a lot to process."

"Yeah. He's processing how much he hates me."

Ivy stands up and grabs her phone and bag, causing the blonde to stare at her in panic.

"What are you doing?"

The witch walks to the front door, "I'm leaving. I don't want Lex to be uncomfortable in his own home. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have ever said anything."

She walks out looking like a kicked puppy, leaving Miss Mystic Falls alone and confused.
