Chapter 9, Maybe Not

I wanted to look really nice for Brandon today so I wore a black mini dress with golden pumps and a red belt. "Wow Kelsey you look beautiful and why the sudden love for short dresses, just 2 weeks ago you told me how much they annoy you, but now look at you." Aunt Dinay told me. "Thanks Aunt Dinay, and I should've given them a chance I mean look how drop-dead-gorgeous I look, who could resist?" I replied. "Well probably not Brandon". "Whatever Dinay, I just wanted to change things up for a bit". "Okay, whatever you say". She said sarcastically. I ate my scrambled eggs and toast with a side of orange juice and jumped into my car. I parked my car next to Brandon's. I approached Brandon, hoping for another date. "Hey Brandon, how are you"? "Hey, I'm good thanks Kelsey how are you". Without even answering I blurted out: "Do you wanna grab a milkshake after work, I hear the bubblegum flavor is the best at MILKY SHAKE." "Here's the thing Kelsey, I can't go out with you anymore, you're a really nice girl but I found....... someone else". "What, I thought you liked me". "So did I, but apparently she made me more happy". "Who is she, the she-devil who stole you from me"? "Hi honeybun, you look great today". Amanda said to Brandon. "Hey sweetheart." He replied. "You little creature, you knew I liked Brandon and this is what you do, oh no wait you're not that kind of person who helps or cares for other people". I angrily said. "Wait if she didn't care then I wouldn't be her honeybun". Brandon said. "How could you Brandon I thought you were better than that, I'm leaving, oh and don't ever speak to me again you filthy dirt-bag of a cheater". Maybe it won't be the first of many, more like first and last. I'll never forget him. I'm broken hearted and feel betrayed. By my own crush!😭
