Message: Hello Everyone, my apologizes for releasing the next chapter a day late. However I promise that the new chapter will give you lots of surprises that will give your Xiaolumi shipping hearts pounding immediately for those who ship the two and others who are non Genshin Impact players but read this.

Five blue-green dim lights emerged from the underground chasm, resembling meteors falling from the sky. They landed in the chasm's maw and then disappeared, leaving behind Lumine, the others, and an unconscious Itto in Shinobu's arms. It appears that the dim lights were the remaining anemo power of Xiao, and once they completed their final task, they vanished, accompanying their master in death.

They began scanning their surroundings to confirm if they were in the right place. Apart from the trail tracks they were standing on, there was a pile of coal in a wooden carriage in the distance, and a large tent indicating the Fatui Harbingers' hideout, but there was no one around. Not even a hint of a shadow in sight.

"We're back" Paimon stated,

Within that moment, a realization of something or rather someone occurred to Lumine "Xiao" she recalled, at the same time her eyes widened while her heart crushed as if it were a glass shattered to pieces. "Xiao!!" she yelled.

Lumine stood up and instantly started moving, she inspected her surroundings with red veins in her eyes, along with the weight of grief in her heart draining down her sorrows. Paimon and Yanfei hastened to catch up with her, worried that she might do something drastic, possibly even considering suicide because of Xiao.

Paimon shouted "Wait, where are you going?"

"Traveler!" Yanfei called.

"XIAO, WHERE ARE YOU XIAO?" Lumine tearfully yelled, her eyes began to overwhelm with tears while walking around calling out to him. "PLEASE DON'T SCARE ME XIAO, AS LONG AS I CALL OUT YOUR NAME YOU'LL APPEAR RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME RIGHT? SO WHY AREN'T YOU APPEARING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME NOW? XIAO!"

She didn't want to acknowledge that Xiao's sacrifice was confirmed, meaning he would never return. He had sworn an oath to her that he wouldn't sacrifice using his death in order for them to return to the outside world, but then at the last minute, he broke that promise. Since they returned without him, Lumine couldn't bear to face the truth and could only hold onto the memory of his oath inside her, like a child holding onto a teddy bear.

"Calm down, Traveler " Paimon soothed, "I know you won't think believe it but right now he's more likel–"

She sunk to the ground, "NO HE CAN'T, HE'S STILL DOWN THERE" Lumine cried, each drop of her tears continued flowing down to her chin, "it's just he still wants to find the missing the Nameless Yaksha that's all, so we have to find him or he'll die"

Yelan creaked her way to her and called to her, "Traveler"

"Yelan" Lumine perplexed,

"I know how you feel right now, I'm sorry to say this to you but I'm afraid he's already gone" Yelan continued. Although her proud expression remained intact she didn't look entirely like her usual self, her glance at Lumine looked slightly serene like it was the first time she tried to calm someone dear to her from the depths of distress. "even if we were to go down there again we won't be able to find him less of course his corpse, so I'm sorry"

Lumine slowly whined her head back while drops of tears kept rolling down to her cheek "Xiao" cried Lumine, "Xiao." she began to huddle her entire face with her palms as if she was concealing her face on a pillow.

"Oh, Traveler" cried Yanfei, she and Paimon held Lumine in her arms while accompanying her in tears. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry for you"
