Spencer had noticed a change in Genevieve's attitude and appearance lately. She seemed more drained and exhausted than usually, a look of constant pain sitting on her face yet in Spencer's opinion she still managed to glow. In an attempt to make the honey blonde feel better, Spencer would leave sunflowers (her favourite flower) on her desk everyday.
Genevieve bolted through the glass door of the BAU alerting her fellow workers - ''Evie are you alright sweetpea?'' Penelope questioned jogging after Genevieve.
The honey haired woman hunched herself over the porcelain bowl of the ladies restroom, sections of her hair sticking to her extremely sweaty forehead, ''Oh Evie, if you're not feeling too great I'm sure Hotch wouldn't mind you going home.''
''No it's okay Pen, I'm not sick.'' Genevieve pulled the flush. The blonde gave a confused look to the younger woman, ''if you're not sick then... no, you aren't?''
Genevieve offered a sweet smile, ''I am, three weeks along.'' Penelope bounced on her heels out of excitement, ''congratulations, I am I the first to know? Whose the proud papa?''
''Yes and I guy I've been dating for a couple of months, I met him at a coffee shop. He's very happy and excited.'' Genevieve giggled answering the bubbly blonde's question as she helped her up off the floor pulling her into the bullpen, ''is it okay to tell everyone?'' Penelope hushed earning a gentle nod of Genevieve.
''Guys, Guys, Guys, Evie has some exciting news.'' Penelope's announcement caught the attention of most agents including Spencer, ''Well myself and my partner are expecting our first.'' Genevieve announced earning a round of congrats and congratulations and even a few hugs.
Spencer was one of the first to hug Genevieve. He was a bit disappointed to find out that she wasn't on the market. But if she was happy, he was happy, ''you must be extremely happy, how far along are you?'' Spencer quizzed taking to Genevieve's side.
''Not that far. I'm only three or four weeks, so nothing much yet well other than morning sickness.'' Genevieve laughed as Spencer pulled a puzzled expression, ''did you know, that during the fourth week of pregnancy the baby is about the size of a pinhead, so technically there is something there. It's just extremely small but in about 10 weeks time your baby will be around 4 inches so the same size of a pear, which is just...''
''Pretty boy, I'm sure she's struggling enough as it is with a constant full bladder and puking early every morning.'' Derek laughs as the two stroll into the room, ''also congrats Sunshine, I'm sure you and the mystery man are extremely excited.''
