Valt couldn't sleep. He had a nightmare, the same scene replaying in his head, their fight. He couldn't take Shu off of his mind. He wanted to tell him how much he loved him, or at least how much he used to.

Valt didn't know if he still loved Shu. But he couldn't deny loving him at a suffocating amount in a certain moment of their life. Did Shu return the feeling? He didn't know. Shu and he seemed to love each other, at least, that's what Rantaro told Valt. But he wasn't sure, and he didn't want to confess his love to Shu just to ruin their friendship.

He was up all sweaty in the morning, hair sticking to his face and clothes sticking to his skin. "Shu..." Valt whispered under his breath. "I need to find you."

They weren't friends anymore, so what would he lose? Nothing. He just had to find Shu, tell him how much he loved him, and hopefully, he'd return the feelings.

*Bzzztt*

His phone vibrated on the nights and next to him, showing a pop-up message from Free.

"Can I pass by your place?"

Valt read it over three times, not knowing what to answer. Free was a really nice friend, but it was just that. A nice friend. Valt found him cute and kind and a great beyblader at that, but there was no spark. There wasn't the spark he felt with Shu.

He left the message unread, getting off of the bed and making his way to the kitchen. If he wanted to track down Shu, where would he start? His old apartment? The park where they used to blade? Beigoma Academy?

Wherever he was, Valt had to track him down quick. So he would probably start at the Bey Park. And that, he did. He put on his black hoodie with black ripped jeans and pulled his hair back with his yellow headband, arriving at the park in just a few minutes.

He looked around, unsure of where his childhood best friend would be. He didn't dare call out the name either, so he just looked over everywhere until he saw a familiar face. "Valt!"

The bluenette smiled, waving over at the red head that made his way over to him. "Hey, Aiger!" Valt says with a grin, extending his hand out for their regular handshake. "Haven't seen you down here in a while! You looking to practice?" Aiger asks, his younger sister Naru appearing behind him.

"Nah, just looking for someone," Valt answers, eyes wandering around the park still. Aiger scratched the back of his head, saying, "Actually, you won't believe who I saw like an hour ago! Shu. Man, he seemed to be in a rush! Didn't know he was back in Japan," And that made Valt furrow his brows.

"Shu? Yeah, he told me to meet him up here, but I don't know where he went," Valt lies, trying to make Aiger tell him where the albino was heading.

"Really? He didn't even say hi to me," Aiger huffs, folding his arms together, "He was heading over to Wakiya's. Oh, by the way, have you HEARD of Wakiya's crui----"

"Thanks, Aiger!" Valt cuts him off, running off in Wakiya's mansion's direction. The red-hair sighed, scratching the side of his face, and Naru blinked a few times, "Wow, he must be in a hurry!" She chuckled.

[...]

"Alright, I'm here. Wait, what the fuck am I going to tell Shu when I see him?! Crap, crap, crap," Valt struggled. He hadn't really thought it through now that he thought about it. "Should I ask him how he has been? Should I ask him how the Raging Bulls have been going?" He pondered out loud, trying to imagine every possibility.

"I'll figure it out when I see him. Plus, I just wanna know how he is... Yeah, just that." He mumbled, ringing the buzzer on the gate.

"Entry accepted, come in." The machine buzzed, gates opening in the direction of the mansion. He had forgotten how rich the blonde was. Valt was expecting to find Wakiya inside of the house, speaking with Shu, but instead, he was received by the person in question at the door.

"Valt! Surprised to see you here. What do you need?" Wakiya greets, hand on his hip as usual. Valt looks behind Wakiya, trying to look for any sign of Shu. "I was wondering if we could have a bey battle, you know, like old times!" He grins, hands in his pockets covering his tightened fists.

"Oh, yeah. Sounds like a perfect excuse to beat you! Come in," The blonde calls, bringing Valt inside of the mansion. He keeps his eyes attentive, trying to find any sign of Shu there. But the more he thought about it, the more he began to realize that he wouldn't be able to look around the mansion unless he found some excuse.

"Yo, I needa use the bathroom before our battle. Where is it?" Valt asks, and Wakiya rolls his eyes. "Man, everyone always has to come infect my perfectly clean restrooms. Go ahead, up the stairs, down the hall to the right."

Valt runs up the stairs, running to the various halls that decorated the mansion. He had no clue what to look for, that was true, but he had a feeling that he was going to find Shu in no time.

In no time, he heard voices coming from one of the doors from one of Wakiya's many training rooms.

"Dammit, Shu, why do we have to stay here? Your friends are weird as fuck, especially that snotty Wakiya," A deep voice spoke, one that didn't pertaincto Shu. Valt walked up to the door slowly, peaking into the room through the small opening, eyes lighting up when he heard his childhood friend's name.

"Lain, don't be a bitch. They aren't my friends, at least, not anymore. We're going to leave soon, trust me. We're just here to recruit bladers, that's all." And when Valt heard Shu's voice, he balked. He peaked into the room a little better, trying not to make the door creak.

"Recruit bladers in the house that belongs to a guy that owns his own beyblade team?" The guy named Lain asked. "He knows where we can start looking. Look, I don't want to be here any more than you do, especially with Valt having seen me at the diner," Shu growls, sitting up straight us he shook his leg out of nerves.

"Wakiya told us that he'd keep him busy if he passed by. And you should've been quicker at the diner. How'd he react anyway?" Lain asks, and Shu sighs. "He was on a date. Probably has a boyfriend and forgot all about me," The albino answers, throwing himself back in the chair. Was he talking about Free? Valt had never forgetten about Shu! Shu had gorgetten about HIM.

"Do you still love him?" The magenta-haired boy questioned, and Valt took a deep breath. Still love him? What did he mean still? "That's none of your business. Go downstairs and check on Wakiya."

And when he saw Lain heading towards the door, Valt stood back up immediately, looking both ways to see where he could hide. There was another door next to the room he had been peaking into, so he ran into it, locking himself inside.

He heard Lain going down the stairs and leaving the area, so he opened the door back open and peaked once more at the room where Shu was. He was on his phone now, speaking to someone on it.

"Yes.....Yes, I know.....No, I won't be participating.....What do you mean I have to?....I don't owe you, Lui....Are you fucking with me?....You aren't going to do anything to him....Meet you tonight?....Lui- Lui...Lu-"

And Shu smashed the phone to the ground. What had happened? It seemed like Lui was threatening Shu to participate in something, or else he'd do something to someone Shu knew.

"FUCK!" Shu shouted at the top of his lungs, standing up from the chair and heading to the door. Valt stumbled back, trying to reach the door next to the room Shu was about to exit. Good thing he reached the room in time, hiding himself away in hopes he wouldn't get caught.

"What the fuck was that?" Valt whispered under his breath, leaning back against the closed door.

Whatever he would do, Valt had to follow Shu to wherever he was going to meet up with Lui, and he had a pit in stomach with the idea of the problem in this situation wasn't Lui.

But Free.
