Rosekit was suddenly jolted awake, it was Flowerkit, "Why did you wake me up?" she groaned. Her brother sighed, disappointment in his eyes, "Did you forget, you mouse-brain!? Its our apprentice ceremony today!"
Rosekit leapt out of her nest, excitedly zooming around Flowerkit, "When is it happening!?" she demanded.
"After the dawn patrol gets back." Flowerkit then sat down beside her, forcing her to sit down. Rosekit then realised how tired she was from it. She then laid her chin on her paws, staring at the prey that was getting dropped onto the fresh-kill pile. She hadn't eaten today, so she tried to walk out of the nursery, but her brother stopped her, "Flightkit!! I wanna eat!!"
"Since today will be out first day as apprentices, we have to eat after we do whatever we do today." Flightkit explained to her, Flowerkit unnecessarily nodding throughout his talking. She gave a small 'aw', then laying back onto the ground. How much more time would she have to wait?

After a bit, the dawn patrol came back. They held a gigantic rabbit, and a few voles and mice. The cats on the patrol were Meadowhop, Swiftwhisper, Haretuft and Goldenpaw. As they dropped the prey onto the fresh-kill pile, Lavenderstar yowled atop the Tall Rock, "Let all cats old enough to run the moor gather around the Tall Rock for a clan meeting!" warriors, queens, and apprentices turned to look his way. He continued, "Today, it is a good day for WindClan, as it is time to make 3 new apprentices." Rosekit's pelt was scruffy as she trotted outside of the Nursery, "Rosekit, Flowerkit, Flightkit, come up onto the Tall Rock." All her siblings stood at the Tall Rock, Lavenderstar announced, "Flightkit, from this day forward, you will be known as Flightpaw. Haretuft, you are a loyal warrior, and I trust you to train your apprentice well." the lithe leader turned to her as her older brother proceeded to touch noses with the experienced warrior, "Rosekit, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Rosepaw. Your mentor is Runningbreeze." The rest of the ceremony was a blur, to her, as she was touching noses with her mentor, now excited to see what would unfold.

Flowerpaw ran up to her, cuddling her tight. His mentor was the medicine cat, Heatherberry. He had always seemed interested in learning abot herbs.. Rosepaw thought. She was caught by surprise as Runningbreeze's tail swerved across her back. As she gazed towards her, she realised that Runningbreeze was beckoning her towards the camp entrance. Suddenly, Rosepaw was then struck with immense energy. "We have to tour the territory!" In the blink of an eye, Rosepaw started bouncing up and down, having never been outside of camp in her life.

--Timeskip--

Rosepaw sprinted through the dense forest, back to camp. (As Runningbreeze had them do a race to camp, and first one there would get first pick of the fresh-kill pile). Rosepaw skidded across the ground as she ran into camp, piling up dirt against herself. Unaware of the cat ahead of her, she accidentally bumped into Goldenpaw, a 5 moon old, light ginger tabby she-cat with blue eyes. She hissed at them, "Hey! Watch it!" as she walked away, Rosepaw thought, rude much.. as Runningbreeze caught up to her in camp. She meowed, "As i said, you get first pick of the fresh-kill pile!" she walked up to it, quickly picking up a plump wood mouse. Though it was small, it was enough to fill her up. Rosepaw trotted over to Flightpaw as she saw him enter camp, asking her brother, "Hi Flightpaw! How was it with your mentor?" Flightpaw seemed excited, replying to her almost instantly.
"Haretuft is awesome! She showed me all the smaller nooks and crannies in WindClan's territory where you can find more prey! And she also made exploring the territory really fun and entertaining!"
"Well, thats good to hear! Anyway, wanna share this mouse with me?" Flightpaw nodded. He then waved bye to his mentor as they sat underneath an immense tree, its bright, fragile leaves forming a canopy and giving them shade. Tearing through the fresh, juicy flesh, Rosepaw savoured the meaty flavour of the deceased prey. When they finished eating, Rosepaw meowed, "We should go to the sleep now, we wouldn't want to be tired tomorrow, would we?"
"Fine.." Flightpaw muttered, settling into his new, comfy moss nest, which was next to Rosepaw's, but also next to the entrance. Rosepaw smiled as she curled up in her moss nest, quickly dozing off while ecstatic about tomorrow.
