Plus weems knew whenever the little blond wolf heard something that sounded important weems would be the first to know

even if it was something silly like a group of students planning a dungeon raid without permission or a permit

Weems Also knew it was wrong to have a favorite student but enid had clawed a special place in her heart the moment she laid eyes on the little wolf pup

No enid wasn't a favorite she had to admit that the little wolf was her daughter not by blood unfortunately but in her eyes they where family

And she would fight anyone even a god if they said otherwise

Whenever the shifter thought back to the first time she saw the small scrawny blond she wolf her heart started to ache

Enid was so small and fragile standing there staring up at her with those large blue eyes wide with wonder wearing nothing but a oversized grey shirt

Her little body nearly drowning in the large gray shirt that had seen better days her blond hair messy and filled with twigs and leaves

her little cheeks blushed pink from the cold and mud smeared over her little body

The little wolf pup stood out like a sore thumb between the trees and snow covered ground

Blood covering the wolfs small hands and mouth a dead half eaten field rat laying on the floor next to the blond pup feet

A starving look in her blue eyes that screamed at her to run

The older woman wanted nothing more then to scoop up the little girl in her arms and take her home unfortunately she knew she couldn't do anything like that no matter how much she wanted to

It was a normal tradition for adult werewolves to send their litters into the forest to hunt for themselves

A normal litter for a werewolf couple was between 4 to 6 pups

To make sure that only the strongest of the litter survived and would remain in the pack to make sure the next generation would be strong and healthy

The small still young pups where sent into the forest alone

At the bigining of winter the moment the pups turned 6 years old the pups where left alone in the forest until the start of spring

The adults would ignore or even kill the pups of another couple during the trail sometimes none of the pups would make it threw the hursh winter season

It was against the law to help a young wolf going threw the tradition of survival but weems didnt care about law or religion

For the whole winter season she kept going back to the forest each day to check up on the little blond puppy

Bringing the little pup small loafs of bread and a cup of soup to eat not enough that the adults could see someone had feed the pup but just to make sure

The little pup had something in her tiny stomach to survive but everytime she was close to the pup she felt uneasy as if something dangerous was watching her

As if following her every move like a shadow looming over her
