Passionfruit by Drake has a really good meaning behind it that I relate to. When I went to look up the meaning behind the song, it not only gave me what it was about, but how the song name came to be. It said Passionfruit is a metaphor for a fleeting love affair. They also said that just like the fruit, a relationship can be sweet and refreshing, but it can also spoil quickly if not tended to carefully.

It also said how the seeds are the small things about the relationship. Well my seeds must have been rotten because my love life so far has been absolute shit. If you don't know, Rafe Cameron used to sort of be my boyfriend until he did some things. But he's not the main character in this book. I am.

Well enough about me and my rambling. Let's get onto my life now, far away from the place I used to call home. The Outer Banks.

Sitting by the campfire with my new friends, Zach and Genevieve. They were the first, and only people might I add, that I have met since moving to Vermont. Well not technically moving here, but I basically live here for free in the fall/winter while I move to my house in New York during the spring/summer with Zach and Genevieve.

You see, Zach and Genevieve are dating and never left Vermont until they met me. I moved to New York after the whole situation and was traveling on the East coast and I met my new best friends. They let me live with them while I rented out my house in the nicer months and then they came to my house and did the same thing.

I'm sure I will tell you more about these two later on, but for now the three of us are enjoying the last few hours of Vermont air before we pack up our things.

Just sitting on the beach, nobody else around besides the sound of the ocean hitting the shore and the slight breeze that goes through my hair every so often. I always wanted this life for me and here I am, with the life I always wanted.

I watch as Genevieve and Zach walk around the shore line as I watch the fire that goes right between them perfectly. Getting my camera out, I go to the video, knowing that Zach is planning to propose tonight.

I watch as he gets down on one knee and Geneviee cups her mouth in excitement as I watch the tears stream down her face. The only word you would hear was a loud yes and a bunch of laughter going around as they went into the ocean.

Once I got it all on camera, I just sat back and watched the fire die down with the sunset in front of me. You know sunsets kind of remind me of the whole passion fruit thing I was talking about earlier. Zach and Genvieves 'seeds' in the fruit are like all the different moments they went through together.

The good, the bad, everything. Even through all the bad times, they found a way back to one another. Whenever I'm alone with a sunset, everything good happens to me which could be considered the sweet and refreshing part.

Heck, it has always been sweet since I left, but just watching the sunset makes it even sweeter.

The sour part was in my past and I'm glad to look beyond that point in my life. I let a man take over my whole life, and in the blink of an eye everything changed. But that sour turned sweet so maybe you need to start sour to get to the sweet stuff.

Back at the house we are all packing to get ready and head to New York. Even though this place is a nice place to live for half the year, it is always nice to be back home. "You guys all ready to go?" I hear Genevieve call out as we all yell back a yes and bring our suitcases to the front of the house.
