Chapter 2

I think my best friends might be idiots, Why are they at a park at 5 in the morning drunk calling me to pick them up when they know we have a meeting with one of our dealers in a few hours.

"What the hell are y'all doing out here" I demand as I walk up them in the parking lot, my breaths coming out in white cloud.

" I don't know what does it look like?" Gio ask me with a shit eating grin.

"It looks like you're wasted at an old park looking for little kids or a hooker? So which is it." I state as I put my hands on my hips looking exasperated at him.

"Dom seriously no, I'm looking for Xavier he thinks we are playing hide and go seek and now I can't find him." He says while looking around like Xavier could be right under a rock.

Why the hell are they even out here first of all and second of all why would they be playing hide and go seek like we are 5.

"Well you aren't gonna find him under your foot so go find him so we can get the hell out of here and go to the.. what the hell is that noise?" I say as I spin around and grab my glock from behind my back.

"Hey guysss I found an angel come look, Dom why are you pointing a gun at me?" Xavier says while looking at me like i'm the crazy one, like he's not playing hide and go seek at 5 in the morning like a fucking dumbass.

"Where the fuck you been?" I say as I put my gun back in the waistband of my Jeans.

"That's not important right now yall need to come see this angel I found." He says while spinning back around and booking it for the gated entrance to the park.

An angel? did he take Acid or something because what the actual fuck is he talking about. Gio starts walking after him so I follow after them.

We walk through the gated part of the park and head to the right towards where the picnic benches are. I stop dead in my tracks seeing a little bundle laying on a bench.

"What is that?" Gio asks Xavier.

"The angel I was talking about duh what else could it be dumbass?" He states matter of factly, Like we're the crazy ones.

"All I see is a small bundle, Is it a kid or something?" I ask as I step forward trying to peer into the makeshift blanket.

"I took a peak under the jacket, she is the most beautiful creature i've ever seen she's got the lightest hair i've ever seen, she looks so pure and innocent like a little angel." He says in awe, okay he's gotta be on some heavy shit because i've never heard him say some shit like that.

I walk over to the sleeping woman and slightly lift up the jacket trying not to wake her and peer inside seeing the most beautiful woman i've ever laid eyes on. What is she doing sleeping on a park bench in the middle of fall is she crazy it's freezing out here and it's about to rain.

"What is she doing out here?" Gio asks as he steps up next to me to peek inside of her jacket.

"Dunno I found her here, can we keep her?" Xavier asks as he swats my hand away from the jacket. If he was anybody else doing that shit he would have been shot in the middle of his head for disrespecting me like that.

"No we can't keep her, we don't even know if she's legal dumbass she looks to fucking young to even be out here much less be one of your new conquests." I say as I start to turn around and walk back to my car.

" We can't just leave her out here in the cold, Legal or not she's to fucking pretty anybody could just come over here and snatch her that's not happening on my watch." Xavier growls out.

I don't want to leave her here either but we're not white fucking knights we've got shit to do and it's not my job to take care of this kid, beautiful or not she's not mine and never will be.

"What do you say Gio wanna keep her?" Xavier asks Gio, hopefully if he's as smart as he usually is he'll say no  and we can go about our lives.

" I think we should at least offer her a place to stay for the night." He shrugs as if this isn't a big deal for him considering the man feels nothing 99% of the time.

"What the fuck ever this shit is on yall to take care of." I say as I sit my ass onto the adjacent seat across from her.

Xavier walks back around to stand in front of the little bundle of a girl, and squats down and to tap on her arm, she doesn't move so he taps her again. She startles awake with a small cry and jerks her head around to see what touched her.

"Hey calm down gorgeous, I didn't mean to startle you." Xavier says with his hands out like he's trying to get a puppy to sniff him. My god this man is an idiot.

"W-what?" she asks, slightly shaking like a leaf.

"What are you doing out here sweetheart?" Gio asks squatting down to her level.

" That's none of your business." She says while sliding away from them and trying to make her self look smaller.

"Hey it's okay we aren't going to hurt you, you shouldn't be out here at this time of night." Xavier says while backing slowly away from her to give her some space to breath from his suffocating ass.

" You aren't going to hurt me are you I don't have any money I promise." She whispers while tucking her legs into a little ball.

" No we aren't going to hurt you we were just going to offer you a room at a hotel nearby so you can get out of this weather." Gio says while sitting next to me.

She slides her gaze from Xavier to Gio then to me and just stares at me for a second longer before blushing and looking away.

"Really?" she asks looking back up and looking over all of us again.

"Yeah if you tell us why you're out here." I finally say after not speaking since they woke her up. I know I said I wouldn't get in the middle of this but she just looks so fragile and delicate, I couldn't help myself.

" Um I couldn't get a room in the homeless shelter so this is where I ended up sadly." she looks away with embarrassment.

"There's nothing to be embarrassed about, let us help you get a room and then we will leave you alone." Gio says but by the devious glint in his eyes I don't think she will ever leave our sight again.

"Um oh okay, thank you" She says while getting up and getting her stuff.

"What's your name?" I ask gruffly.

"My names Mia." She whispers

"Mia what?" Gio says

"Mia stone"

Xavier shares a look with Gio and i know her life as she knows it is over with, she's never getting away from us now.
