" Pick up the call , Rah. I am here , ok...don't stress out. " Mayank consoled.
Rah was fretting badly , he shook his head negative , " no no no.....I can't Mayu....he must have seen my match...our proposal...shit ! "

Rah was shivering and hugging himself while the phone was ringing in the background , an awkward and eerie silence took over.

" Rah..." Mayu initiated , Rah averted his eyes up , listening earnestly,  Mayu continued,  " Are you...umm...regretting doing this...I can understand...he is your dad so..."

Rah looked shocked , he hugged Mayu  and pecked his forehead and lovingly whispered , " Mayu..i am not regretting even a second of loving you. I have told you countless times , you are the best thing that happened to me...why are you doubting me...did something happen ? "

Rah worriedly asked, ensuring Mayank that he is the only one !

Mayank was fidgeting but couldn't hold it longer so he confessed his fear and what Vi told him. Rah listened intently and gave a sympathetic smile to Mayu and smacked him hard on head ,  "Pagal ! "

" Oww Rah , what did I do ! " Mayu winced and pouted.

" Mayu , listen carefully....Ro was my past and you are my present and fortunately my future too.

Yes,  I won't deny that my love for Ro was genuine but we weren't meant to be together , destiny had other plans and I am truly happy with my current life and even if I had a time machine to rewind the time , I will still choose you over and over ....

You are that special to me , my Mayu.
I was devastated to know that Ro couldn't be mine , a storm was raging in my mind but when you arrived , all the dark clouds disappeared and a beautiful , colorful rainbow blessed me , and it was you....

I could feel happy again , because of you , your love and care. So Mr Mayank Agarwal , you are irreplaceable in my life and you didn't take Rohit's place in my heart, and you can never do it too instead you made your own warm cozy place in my heart, which will forever be the reason of me breathing and surviving. "

Mayank was sobbing hard , feeling so touched and also ashamed of doubting his beloved , he was apologizing profusely for doubting Rah and continously muttering
' I love you's ' to him , Rah was chuckling and patting Mayu's head to calm him down.

After a while , Mayu calmed down and couldn't resist the urge to kiss the luscious and irresistible lips of  'his' Rah , so he dived in for the kiss and oh heavens , it was hot !

There was burning passion and warmth of love mingled together, heightening their sensations , arousing them , Mayu moaned melodiously,  blessing Rah's ears who grabbed Mayu's hair tighter,  pulling him impossibily closer but soon Rah's phone began ringing again.

Both grunted in frustration but fear again clouded Rah's mind , replacing his desire with pain , it was his Dad calling again.

Rah knew he couldn't run away anymore , he mustered courage and picked up the call , all the while Mayu squeezing his hand in assurance and support.

" Hello dad..." Rah was tensed and it was evident from his tone but his dad was unaffected , he ordered ,  "Tomorrow evening come home for dinner and ....bring that guy of yours too...there are some matters to discuss. "

Before Rah could reply back , his Dad declined the call.

Rah was terrified , rattled from his past , he knows his dad must be disgusted by him , while Rah only tried to make him happy for once and now , he ruined it all again.

Mayu caressed his arm , conveying his concern and support and suggested ,
" It's been a long day Rah , and your juniors have planned a party tonight so let's rest for a while and get ready to hit the dance floor and drink till we pass out. I don't know what awaits us tomorrow but atleast let's live today..."

Rah looked relieved and nodded , cheerful to celebrate his team's win and his outstanding century too !

The night was young and the party was wild , the juniors have outdone themselves , it was truly a phenomenal night !

Ishan , Shubhman and Shreyas were stupidly drinking and dancing like crazy.

Hardik , Siraj , Chahal and Jassi were playing truth and dare , everytime the bottle landed on Jassi , he would innocently choose truth but was baffled by their wild questions however answering them honestly , blushing cutely while they pulled his leg. Poor him !

Virat and Ro were sitting in a corner like a parent duo judging their kids antics and also sipping the most expensive drinks occasionally while discussing their monthly budgets like an elderly couple.

Mayank was giggling to some made up story of Jaddu , who was proudly discussing his warrior tales of his ancestors.

Rah was truly happy and felt secure within the confines of his second family however he knew that tomorrow he must face his real family,  was he truly ready for it ?

Mayank glanced towards Rah and lovingly sent a flying kiss to him and winked , Rah felt butterflies in his stomach and slowly a warm feeling was settling within him , maybe he was now a bit ready to face his family....

Next day -

Rah woke up early to hit the gym , whenever he felt stressed and restless, he would train harder till he passes out , allowing the darkness to envolpe him.

However Mayank was unhappy with Rah's way to channel his worries , yes training was essential but not with the wrong motivation , so he went to talk with Rah.

However he came up with an idea , he went away to shop a little , when he returned back Rah was showering in their room. Mayank patiently waited for Rah , soon Rah emerged out , drying off his hairs but still looking lost ...(sigh) the gym didn't help at all but maybe Mayu's gift will uplift Rah's mood.

Mayank went near Rah and placed the gift in his hands , Rah looked confused but accepted nonetheless.

He opened his gift and was astonished to find the same pearl necklace , which he had gifted Mayu long back.

When he looked up , he found Mayu wearing the same necklace and grinning pleased with Rah's reaction.

" You gifted me this necklace the day you confessed your love to me. You promised to stand with me, despite the oddities so today I am gifting you this necklace as a token of my love and support that though today you are in trouble , I assure you...I will always be with you because....I love you Rah~ "

Tears were glistening Rah's eyes but he wasn't nervous anymore , he nodded his head and urged Mayu to adorn this beautiful neck piece with his very own hands around Rah's neck.

Mayu gladly agreed and admired the delicate pearl jewel around his lover's neck.

The most awaited night occurred , Rah and Mayank got dressed , booked a cab and began their journey towards the hotel Rah's family was staying. They came all the way to see Rah perform , but didn't spoke a word with him , until today and even Mayank was fearing a little how the dinner was going to turn out.

Mayu brought lilies since Rah told his mother is fond of lilies , hoping Rah's mother would be easy to please.

Rah knocked on the door , they could hear rushing footsteps , slowly halting near the door , it was Rah's mother , she was epitome of calmness and endless love , she pulled Rah closer.

A face so angelic and eyes held such warmth that Mayu couldn't resist the urge to hug her and maybe she guessed it , she herself pulled Mayu closer ,
" Thanks for taking care of my son. "

Mayu nodded his head , vowing to always care and nurture Rah , he handed the lilies to Rah's mother, she looks so elated ,
" It's my favourite...thanks beta. "

She urged Rah and Mayank to enter inside , their faces turned from joy to solemn when the found Rah's father sitting before them on the dining table with a fury all over his face.

" So shall we talk. " It wasn't a question but rather an order from Rah's father.

A/n : I know very well... I am late to update but guess what , I have some good newsssss ! 🤭🤭💓 I secured 96.3 percentile in my MHTCET exam !
I got my result 2 days back , so I was a bit busy with celebrations 🍾
I will try to update frequently but if I fail to do so then please understand this dear author of yours 😽😭💗
