Misted Prowler

He offered his hand in front of me and I slowly placed my hands. He guided me through the halls as we went out of the building. The hallways were empty and only the sound of our footsteps could be heard. It seems that all of the students have classes today. Nyx never let go of my hand which made my heart skip a beat.

Dumaan kami sa hardin at conservatory ng academy. Natanaw ko ang iba't-ibang bulaklak na para bang makikita mo lamang na tumutubo sa loob ng academy.

"I am taking you to a place guarded by a beast that no one can kill. Many of the people living in that place, are forced to abandon the whole city," wika niya habang naglalakad kami patungo sa pinakadulong bahagi ng academy.

'This sounds scary but at the same time interesting. I wonder what creature is he talking about?'

"That beast is called Misted Prowler which is a predatory creature that combines features of a black panther and a tentacled monster. It is good in visual illusion and makes it difficult for the attackers to accurately target it. I choose this creature for you because it will help you enhance your combat skills and agility. Don't worry, I will be watching you and I will make sure you are safe." paliwang ni Nyx at tumigil kami sa isang hindi pamilyar na pader.

He placed his left hand on the brick wall of the academy and automatically a portal appeared in front of us. Revealing an Abandoned City with dry leaves scattered on the road and the fog made it hard for me to look around. The howls from the other side of the portal made me shiver down my spine. It was also night time on the other side of the portal which seems to be a bit strange.

Naunang naglakad papasok si Nyx bago ako sumunod sa kanya. Ramdam ko ang kakaibang katahimikan ng buong paligid. Magkahawak pa rin kami ng kamay habang naglalakad patungo sa abandonadong siyudad. Nagkalat ang mga sirang kotse sa kalsada at ang mga basag na salamin ng bintana mula sa mga bahay. Marami rin akong nakitang mga sirang bahay na para bang may kakaibang halimaw ang umattake.

"This is the Abandon City in Hallistair." wika ni Nyx habang naglalakad kami.

The further we walked the eerier I felt as we passed through the city. The air hangs heavy with silence, broken only by the occasional whispering breeze that sweeps through the deserted alleyways. The echoes of footsteps, long gone, resonate faintly, as if the city itself still remembers the lives that once filled its streets. We reached an abandoned church next to the cemetery. It was still sturdy and the building was still intact.

Napansin kong dahan-dahan inilabas ni Nyx ang kanyang espada sa isang kamay. Binitawan niya ang kamay ko at may kinuha sa kanyang bulsa. Isang kulay asul na maliit na gamot ang inabot niya sa akin. Tumingin ako sa kanya dahil nakakapagtaka ang kanyang ikinikilos.

"Remember this, its weakness is somewhere inside its body. Observe its tactics and strengths, and you will know what you will do next." mahinang paliwanag niya.

I nodded in response and summoned my sword. I looked around soundly and a strong roar was heard through the back of the church.

The next thing I knew a huge black panther appeared in the shadows. It was larger than usual panthers. Its green eyes glowed from the dark and it stared at me. It was around five feet tall and on its shoulders has two long flexible tentacles, ending in appendages that are covered with the spikes. It seemed to be a high level type of beast.

Is this the beast that Nyx was saying all along?

Ramdam ko ang kaba ko dahil sa nanindig ang balahibo ko matapos makita ang pigura ng halimaw na sinabi ni Nyx. Napalunok ako habang hawak ang aking espada.

"Be ready, that beast is not an ordinary opponent because his agility is precise and at the peak of Level 35. Your goal is to defeat it." bulong ni Nyx sa akin at lumayo sa tabi ko.
