Preparation

Napatitig ako sa screen ng crystal watch ko ng makaramdam ako ng panghihina at doon ko naalala ang malalim na sugat sa tiyan ko. Naramdaman ko rin ang paglabo ng paningin ko at pagbigat muli ng paghinga ko. 

Nyx noticed what was happening and quickly took out a glass bottle that was filled with a strange green liquid. He handed me the glass bottle and looked at him. I was about to ask what was inside it when he answered.

“That is a healing potion,” his eyes turned sad as he looked to the sky full of stars.

“We found a box of potions under Vincent’s bed with a note, that he made them just in case he will not be able to use his healing ability. He left it specifically for the Oracle Council.” wika niya. 

“T-thank you.” I uttered and read the details of the healing potion he gave me.

My eyes stared at the bottle and gripped it tightly before opening the lid. In one gulp, I was able to finish the liquid from the bottle. The bittersweet taste of the liquid slid down from my throat down to my stomach.

Naramdaman ko ang kakaibang enerhiya sa katawan ko at kusang nawala ang pagdurugo ng sugat. 

The wound on my stomach vanished but the blood stain on my uniform was still visible. My lips formed a sad smile after knowing that the potion was from Vincent. 

‘Thank you, Vincent. For you, I will keep my promise.’ I thought to myself.

“Let’s head back. Your first training day was a success and tomorrow is another session.” wika ni Nyx at naunang naglakad patungo sa lugar kung saan kami galing kanina.

Sumunod ako sa kanya at naramdaman ang malamig na simoy ng hangin. Habang naglalakad ay hindi nawala sa isipan ko ang mga nangyari kanina. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala nagawa ko mag-isa na talunin ang halimaw na iyon. 

My ability was getting stronger each day that passed and somehow I noticed everything had changed. The future was still uncertain but the more I think about the prophecy, the more eager  I am to get stronger.

Nakarating kami sa portal kung saan kami nanggaling kanina at napansin na palubog na ang araw sa academy. Inilahad muli ni Nyx ang kanyang kamay sa akin bago pumasok ng portal. Walang imik kong pinatong ang kamay ko sa kanyang palad at sumunod sa kanya. 

Habang naglalakad kami ay nagtaka ako bakit hindi pa rin niya binibitawan ang kamay ko. Bumaling ako sa kanya at napansin ang kanyang ekspersyon na kalmado. 

The lights around the academy started to light up and the cold breeze brushed against my skin. I glanced at my watch and found out that it was already seven in the evening. We walked inside the main building and headed towards the training room of the Oracle Council. 

Binuksan niya ang pintuan at naroon pa rin sila Amirah. Nang makita nila kami ay napatitig sila sa kamay namin na magkahawak. Nanlaki ang mata ni Isabella. Si Amirah naman at Hailey ay napatakip ng kanilang bibig habang nagpipigil na humagikhik. Si Dominic at Kairo ay masamang tumingin sa akin. 

I gulped and glanced at Nyx who was calmly staring at them while still holding my hand. 

‘Wala ba siyang balak na bitawan kamay ko?’ I thought to myself.

He let go of my hand and walked towards them. I felt relieved after he let go of my hand.

“How is your training?” tanong niya sa kanila.

I glanced at them and observed. They seem to be exhausted because of the training they had as a team.

“We managed to bypass our former ratings on our statistics but are still working on with the coordination.” paliwanag ni Kairo.
