name- Mary Mary Altery


gender- changes based on the person being copied(true one is female)


age- physically takes on the age of who she copies, but mentally stays as ancient as her true body is


species- copycat-shape-changer(the most simple terms for D&D players I can give is modified changeling)


appearance- she's more likely to take on the appearance of others, but her two true forms is that of a ghostly-looking girl and a shape altering monster made of pure dark matter, the ghostly-looking form is as white as white paint with her eyes being almost pure black if it weren't for the small blue glowing pupils in them(if she isn't having at minimum a panic attack), has purple hair and usually makes her skin look like a magician outfit to get around needing to wear clothes. the core form has a habit of taking on the shape of her nightmares or is otherwise a mass of black goo that takes a slender-wannabe shape


personality- chaotic, that's the most basic way of putting it, she is a kind yet panicky mess that is quick to panic and blame herself when she is in her ghost-looking true form, she's an hyperactive and fearful mess or a silent and quick to slash killer in her dark matter form(personality is on if it's fear or anger that causes her to enter that form) yet she's an expert at pushing down her emotions and hiding all of her anxiety whenever she's pretending to be someone else, taking on what she knows of their personality yet she's willing to show all that she is if she needs to when comforting someone else in a bad mental state along with pushing people along towards helping that person


likes- cooking, being alone, having friends, no crowds, being someone else, her mind being quiet, tight spaces, small rooms, broken or no mirrors, not seeing herself, helping people, not letting someone suffer alone, being treated nicely and not having what she is revealed


dislikes- herself, being herself, being surrounded by strangers, being found by the person she's currently copying, being treated like shit, being blamed for things she didn't do, being reminded of what she is, large rooms, big open spaces, seeing herself in mirrors, her powers reacting to her mind, her powers creating an echo chamber of her thoughts, her inability to believe compliments, having panic attacks, having ptsd, making her friends angry, brunette hair(usually doesn't mind the people with brunette hair, she just hates the hair-color which causes her to avoid looking at the head of brunettes), copying mean dead people, losing people dear to her, her cases of anger issues, her suicidal ideology and her avoidance habits

powers- a pure copycat of whoever she takes the form of, though the first ten times she copies someone, she has a weaker form of their powers. her core dark matter form can allow her to go to worlds that any sorta dark matter or being made from it has access to, she can create illusions and has a limited amount of self-teleports without the need to copy someone and her shape-changing isn't limited to copying things...it's just her preferred use of altering her body-shape at will


crush- depends on the series


weapons- she uses the weapons of whoever she's copying even if she can't copy their expertise on it. the weapon she uses when she isn't copying anyone is claws because she has an easy time with transforming her fingers into claws


other- the original person can force her to use powers that works only on themself with an example being an ability that trades one's own health in exchange for power is something she can be forced to use if the person she's currently copying uses it yet the one she's copying firing a laser at their own face won't force her to do the same. her eyes turns to pure glowing white no matter what form she takes if her stress is way too much more than what she can mentally handle which makes it much easier to tell it's her


intended series- touhou, psychonauts, monster prom to an extent(there is still much I have not seen of it), fire emblem to an extent(mainly because an inspiration to this one's personality even if Mary has the anxiety and self-loathing kicked up by 100 in comparison is FireGirl38's fe oc Melody), the gray garden, splatoon, neptunia, friday night funkin, paper mario ttd(a fanart of humanoid-Doopliss is an inspiration to how her ghostly-looking form looks) and castlevania
